Post by: Yegolev on August 22, 2006, 05:39:31 PM
omg ccp sux wtf bbq

This is bothersome mostly because I have unplanned Me Time and wanted to play, or at least look at the interface before my wife found me.

Just in time for me to install The Movies: Stunts & Effects.

What other MMOG has thier fourms go down whenever the game is down too? Granted it means less complaints when the server IS down, but I would like to read them.

Now it says it's up but it won't let me in. So cruel.

I really just wanted to download the patch, at least!

Can't find it on their 'patches' list yet either.

Their patch web page is a god-damned liar.  LIAR!

I'M THE PATCH-IT-NOT, BITCH!

Please God, I actually visited the websites of both Lum and Darniaq.  *sigh*

But then EVE will be up and I'll be :nda: in :nda: with my :nda:, instead of :nda: in EVE.

EDIT: Ha!  Downloading the EVE patch from the web site right now!

I got the patch, got in, set Drones V and got out.

You'll need to reset your overviews.

I had an agent offering me a bug, which I rejected (I hear the market for Bugs in Jita is going to be way over supplied this week).

I played the 14 day trial and between the pacing of the game (e.g. snooze inducing travel) and the UI I didn't feel like subscribing.

I managed to set missile bombardment III for training right after downtime. But this morning I forgot to change it back to missile launcher V

anyone else having trouble with the client after the patch? It eats 98-99% CPU when I alt-tab in a situation when it didn't require more than 10-15-30 before (just warping through space or sitting at the login screen or in station). It even bluescreened my windows once :(

yes login screen mxed me out, probably also a memory leak in there.  ugly.

I have heard bad things about ALT-TAB, but so far I have not had any issues with ALT-ENTER, which is what I use instead.

The thing is I play windowed in the first place. Even if I alt+tab out of windowed it bugs out on me :(

Well I did not have any problems, but I was using the minimize button, or I just foregrounded the other thing I was looking at.

I have no problems with alt+tab. I run windowed with shift window.

is the server down now or is it just me?

Seems to be down. Man, I'm glad I stopped doing my trade routes. All of these outages would have driven me crazy.

There was a note in the login screen about it?  Or is this another unplanned outage?  Haven't looked at EVE since maybe Saturday or Sunday for like ten minutes to swap some skill trains.

They pushed a server update from Friday to this week, maybe they are doing that today.
