Problem: Roofing contractor from last year is not honoring warranty.

Solution: I want a webpage that will pop up on search lists telling our story about these f*******.

The firm is Rainproof Roofing of Ridgefield, CT. They do not have their own website that I can find. Ridgefield is a very wealthy town with lots of web-savvy people.

Does anyone want to do this? I will pay website registration fees and a fee for your efforts. I may even go so far as to pay google to get my site at the top of the "rainproof roofing" search for awhile.

I am open to any ideas on how best to achieve the result of keeping customers away from these bastards. I will take the site down if they pay up, but not right away. Not looking for anything fancy, just our version of event, some pictures of the water damage and a recording of the voicemail (currently on a cellphone voicemail) saying they will pay.

Easy way for someone to make a few hundred bucks.

Write up your story for RipOffReport.  That's the easiest way to get them nasty google hits.

Any time I see fliers around my school advertising stupid shit like "Make 300 dollars a day working from home, no skills required!" or what have you, when I google their company's name on a whim RipOffReport is the first thing that pops up.  Not sure how their site works, but they seem to be good at getting high google rankings.

Won't help you for your past situation, but if you live near a large city it may be worth joining Angies List.  It may help you find a better contractor next time.  It aint cheap ($60 a year) but how much is it worth to minimize the chance of this happening again.

Just to give this thread some resolution, the roofers finally remitted initial payments to the repair guys. The last few "conversations" seemed to have worked.

I did fill out a RipOffReport and gave a bad review at contractors.com. Both made me feel better.
