Title: Is Mugen still going? Anyone have a killer Mugen setup? Post by: Telemediocrity on August 08, 2006, 11:50:22 AM For those who've never heard, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M.U.G.E.N.) MUGEN is perhaps the best system for sticking together every single 2D fighting game character you've ever dreamed of into one giant battle royale, including support for simultaneous 2v2 and even 3v3 combat.
I was absolutely in love with it back in the day when it was on DOS; then they moved development to Linux, and I lost track. Apparently it's on WinXP these days and going strong. Anyone here play MUGEN? Have rare characters or an excellent setup/themes they'd like to share? Title: Re: Is Mugen still going? Anyone have a killer Mugen setup? The Mugen Ultimate Collection (http://torrentportal.com/details/663777/Mugen+Ultimate+Collection.rar.html) is a good way to get started if you've never done MUGEN before - 200 stages, 500 characters.
Also, I am in love with Dragon Claw, who is quite possibly the coolest fucking original, fan-created fighting game character ever. (http://mugenguild.net/%7Ereu/DragonClaw%20Teaser.zip) Yes, that's all ingame footage; the bullet-time movements and whatnot are part of his gameplay. |
