(http://www.leadtogold.com/pics/perforce/cube/rlyeh.jpg) He is seen here sitting on a tower of soda cans, holding in one claw a picture of a different tower of soda cans. MADDENING! Title: Re: A nice bedtime buddy for the children Post by: Strazos on July 28, 2006, 02:24:09 PM I've actually never been a big Cthulhu fan. This just reminds me that I've never even read the literature.
EDIT: Context. Title: Re: A nice bedtime buddy for the children Post by: Samwise on July 28, 2006, 02:31:03 PM I've actually never been a big Cthulhu. Never even read the literature. Still working on that post count, eh? Title: Re: A nice bedtime buddy for the children Post by: Engels on July 28, 2006, 02:33:26 PM I gave one to my 8 month old nephew for Xmas. His boorish parents didn't even know what it was! He dug it tho, since those tentacles are very gummable, individual, or by the mouthful.
Title: Re: A nice bedtime buddy for the children Post by: Samwise on July 28, 2006, 02:39:54 PM Haha, I just remembered I gave one to my little cousin for her birthday. She's past the chewing stage but not the stuffed animal stage. Her parents didn't know what it was either. In another ten years or so I'll give her a collection that has that story in it so as to bring it all together.
Title: Re: A nice bedtime buddy for the children Post by: Engels on July 28, 2006, 02:48:02 PM It was fun watching the expression on my nephew's parents' face when I calmly explained to them that the stuffed toy I had obtained for the child is, in fact, a demi-god from the abyss who's sole purpose is the annihalation of sanity and the harbinger of the mankind's extinction. They then asked me if it was a fictional demi-god.

(edit) And then handed them a Cthulhu Chick Tract (http://www.geocities.com/tribhis/cthulhutract.html). Title: Re: A nice bedtime buddy for the children Post by: Llava on July 28, 2006, 07:11:23 PM Some demigods are immortal.
Others seek immortality through merchandising. Title: Re: A nice bedtime buddy for the children Post by: Righ on July 28, 2006, 10:28:05 PM Like Gene Simmonds.

I have that on a hard drive somewhere. I've yet to show it to a woman that doesn't find it deeply disturbing. :) Title: Re: A nice bedtime buddy for the children Post by: Oban on July 29, 2006, 05:51:55 AM http://infantowned.ytmnd.com/ (http://infantowned.ytmnd.com/)

(edit) And then handed them a Cthulhu Chick Tract (http://www.geocities.com/tribhis/cthulhutract.html). I think I've found my new religion! Makes as much sence as any of the others. And it figures I'm years late to the party. My geek-fu is sooo weak. Of course, I stick to just corrupting my niece and nephews when I can and friends kids when available. It's cheaper for me and more amusing for the parents. Ok, just more amusing for me then. Title: Re: A nice bedtime buddy for the children Post by: Velorath on July 30, 2006, 08:55:16 AM Out of all of them I kinda like Superhero Cthulhu the best. Well, now I see where those fucking murlocs in WoW came from. I always was a sucker for purple though, this one's kinda cute: (http://www.toyvault.com/cthulhu/Night%20Gaunt%20-%20Large.jpg) |
