Title: And you thought the DS scaled well

Check this baby out.   I found it pretty interesting.  It makes me feel insignificant and worthless, but cosmically.  It's like the idea of God, it's just a concept of immeasuribility I can't even begin to grasp.

Pretty cool way to compare objects in space.  Really though, I think the bigger mindfuck is trying to cope with just how much space is between objects in space in relation to Human-size.  Nonetheless, we are all nothing in the scheme of things.

True that. Realizing the vastness and extreme nature of the universe should teach us all how to take it easy.

Not a hippy. Just did too much of the complete opposite, I guess.

Either way, I think it's the ultimate lesson of science. To try to have a cosmological perspective of thngs. And in that, the enlightenment gained from spiritualism or philosophy isn't much different.

[edit] Don't shoot. Not trying to mess up the thread. Carry on.

I actually found EVE to be a bit more mind-boggling than that, probably because it's 3D and stuff. Zoom all the way in on the map scren, and then zoom all the way out. Or get Celestia (http://www.shatters.net/celestia/) and mess around some in that (great program). Space is just mind-boggling.
