Title: Microsoft executive leaves company under unusual circumstances Post by: Righ on June 22, 2006, 11:10:34 AM Not your typical company exit, this one. On Monday, Microsoft and Martin Taylor (http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/businesstechnology/2003074781_taylor21.html) severed their working relationship. Taylor was the VP of Windows Live and MSN marketing, and the man behind the anti-Linux spin at MS. People leave, and are sacked from important positions in companies all the time, but this was a little strange. First, Taylor was "bumped from a flight" out of Dallas on Sunday night according to press handlers charged with cancelling Taylor's Monday engagements. Within minutes of Tuesday's announcement of his departure from the firm, his email started bouncing and his web page was removed.
It's certainly getting bloody in Microsoft's online business division. You don't steal office supplies at Microsoft. It's considered "bad form."

I haven't asked any of my buddies who work there if they have heard any scuttlebutt yet. I am guessing it is something drastic, like he was stealing or selling info to competitors or something. It just sounds really fishy that he was one of Ballmer's pets one day and out on the street the next.
