Title: 5/24/06 - Steambot Chronicles (aka Bumpy Trot) (PS2)
Post by: schild on May 22, 2006, 12:37:00 AM
Relaxing Non-linear RPG, be a bad buy if you want. The demo was fairly kick ass. Reviews have been ragging on it in America despite it being one of the highest rated games of 2005 in Japan. Maybe they didn't like the name. I don't know. But I've read a pile of the reviews and it seems like they "don't get it." I'll have my own thoughts incoming as soon as I get my hands on it.

Mechs, music making, non linearity...

How does the music making work anyways? Seems like all of the reviews are in print for now.

None of them discuss the music making anyway. They're all variations on rhythm games. Press buttons at the right time, move the analog stick, etc. You can apparently waste the whole game away just by sitting around and playing in a band.

I got a tiny harmonica at work for this game. We play it when we do things. To stay on topic: I'm tempted to buy this. Even though I haven't popped the demo in it just sounds like it would be a fun game to play.
