I don't see how making money because men are shallow creatures makes a woman a whore. Maybe if they work for EA. It's great work if you can get it, beats flipping burgers. Men want sex all the time because they are shallow too.  And some women make money out of that.  We call them 'whores'.

This is the sad fate of all those young women that went to modelling school only to find out that they didn't have the "stuff" to become models.  I guess this is still a better way to make an honest living than strip clubs or porn. 

Sometimes they have more than enough, but the fashion industry simply wants tall and waifish. So it's booth babing, Budweiser girl, or the Sears catalog for them.

I've got a friend (aspiring model, pretty hot) who works as a booth babe now and then, mostly at auto shows.  She's a college graduate with other options, so I figure it can't be all that bad or she'd be doing something else.   :-P

I don't blame your friend.  If I had any inkling I could pull it off, I would seriously consider it as a way to supplement my income.

Yeah, I have a Japanese friend who does random modeling like that as well (car shows, cell phone ad's).  She graduated college with a 3.95 GPA in International Economics.  Some people just like it.

If someone paid me to stand around dressed as, say, Conan, at one of these things, and I had the body to pull off Conan (shut up), I wouldn't have a second thought about it.  Course, if I was going to get groped by smelly geek boys... that might change my mind.  Depends on the money.
