Sen. Ted Kennedy's Plane Struck By Lightning Quote Pat Robertson, founder of the Christian Coalition of America and a former Republican presidential candidate, says, "This is proof that God hates liberals and those who support the wholesale slaughter of unborn children." THAT was funny! :-D Title: Re: Lightning Strikes! Post by: Strazos on May 14, 2006, 01:27:11 PM Is that map for real?
If so, that's too fucking weird. Title: Re: Lightning Strikes! Post by: Murgos on May 14, 2006, 01:59:56 PM Is that map for real? If so, that's too fucking weird. Don't be a dipshit. They are talking about hurricanes. They stretched across the fucking state. Title: Re: Lightning Strikes! Post by: Righ on May 14, 2006, 02:06:21 PM Indeed. Overall, its a red state.
Title: Re: Lightning Strikes! Post by: Murgos on May 14, 2006, 02:07:32 PM Indeed. Overall, its a red state. Do you remember the 2000 election? The one that was decided by a 600 vote difference in Florida? Title: Re: Lightning Strikes! Post by: Righ on May 14, 2006, 02:09:06 PM Never underestimate an angry god.
Title: Re: Lightning Strikes! Post by: Strazos on May 14, 2006, 02:38:37 PM Don't be a dipshit. They are talking about hurricanes. They stretched across the fucking state. Sorry, I don't have any Actual experience with hurricanes. I don't even watch they news when they occur. That's why I don't live or travel in hurricane zones...just a pain in the ass. I grew up in Florida. As young dumb kids we loved it when hurricanes came because it meant good waves for surfing. Ive seen them blow sand so hard down a street it stripped the paint off of cars. Title: Re: Lightning Strikes! Post by: Murgos on May 14, 2006, 02:54:39 PM Sorry, I live in Tampa. We get 2 - 6 hurricanes a year, every year. The concept that some vague wandering of the 30 - 50 mile across eye-walls of three 200 - 300 miles across hurricanes in 2000 is somehow an indictment from god just struck a nerve as the worst kind of silly shit that people buy into and repeat.
Title: Re: Lightning Strikes! Post by: Righ on May 14, 2006, 04:32:04 PM Or even god striking down airplanes because they contain prominent liberals. Or existing. :)
Title: Re: Lightning Strikes! Post by: Broughden on May 14, 2006, 04:37:52 PM Or even god striking down airplanes because they contain prominent liberals. Or existing. :) Okay okay I confess! The quote is a complete joke! Pat Robertson did make a dumbass remark very similar to what I quoted above about the devastation in New Orleans. When I saw the Fox News bit about Kennedy's plane I added the Robertson quote for comedy value. I thought someone would have figured it out by now. :-D Title: Re: Lightning Strikes! Post by: Yegolev on May 16, 2006, 09:22:23 PM I guess we sort of figured you wouldn't make up shit. And lightning hits planes all the time.
Title: Re: Lightning Strikes! Post by: Roac on May 16, 2006, 09:42:37 PM If God wants to make a point, he doesn't miss. Hit the plane? If God were pissed off at Teddy and wanted to make a statement about it, he'd have turned the plane into melted aluminum slag. He seems to like parting seas, flooding planets, or killing every single last inhabitant of a sinful city with hellfire. Not exactly subtle.
Title: Re: Lightning Strikes! Post by: Strazos on May 16, 2006, 10:02:41 PM And people LIKE this person?
Title: Re: Lightning Strikes! Post by: Yegolev on May 16, 2006, 10:51:09 PM And people LIKE this person? More like fear. People like Jesus, but they fear his dad. Title: Re: Lightning Strikes! Post by: Broughden on May 17, 2006, 01:53:40 AM I guess we sort of figured you wouldn't make up shit. And lightning hits planes all the time. Wel the news story I didnt make up. And in reality Pat Robertson said something nearly as dumb....he just made the dumb ass remark about New Orleans rather than Kennedy. Anyway it was only meant as a funny joke to go along with the news story. Title: Re: Lightning Strikes! Post by: Merusk on May 17, 2006, 09:41:07 AM And people LIKE this person? More like fear. People like Jesus, but they fear his dad. Respect ain't fear. No need to fear the man, when your numbers up, it's up. Can't stop it, why worry over it. Title: Re: Lightning Strikes! Post by: Roac on May 17, 2006, 01:21:03 PM And people LIKE this person? I normally like to see people who obscenely misbehave get a serious dose of punnishment. Justice is frequently popular, yes. Title: Re: Lightning Strikes! Post by: sigil on May 17, 2006, 02:02:02 PM Is that map for real? If so, that's too fucking weird. It's not accurate. Ivan was a good 100 miles west of that line. however it's not so inaccurate at to change the point ;) |
