Title: Anyone watch Letterman tonight? Post by: Broughden on May 10, 2006, 01:21:43 AM Did anyone watch Letterman tonight and see the card trick guy? WTF was up with that? Was the guy a comedian? Was Letterman getting "punked"?
For those who might not have seen it here is what happened.... David Letterman had announced at the beginning of the show that he had three guests. The actor Kurt Russell, some band and a card magician. Well the card guy was finally introduced. He came out and Dave talked about his background for a minute or two and then the guy launched into his first card trick with Dave. He asked Dave to pick a guard, show it to the audience and then stick it back in the deck. The trick seemed to go wrong and the guy started acting frustrated. He told Dave he would have to try it again. (but this seemed like part of the act or trick) So Dave picked a second card, showed it to the audience and stuck it back in the deck. The guy started going through the deck and seemed to become pretty upset. He started shouting, stood up and asked what card Dave had picked. Dave told him, "The two of spades." At this point the guy called Dave an asshole and some other names which were bleeped out, and accused Dave of messing everything up. He threw the cards across the stage, through down some type of smoke bomb thing and stormed off stage. They cut to commercial. When they came back all Dave said was, "Its like cable access television around here tonight. No idea what is going on." Anyone know what this was all about? I guess it could have been some skit, but Dave seemed to be as confused as I was when they came back from commercial. Watch it and tell me what you think. Title: Re: Anyone watch Letterman tonight? Bad actors can't usually do the spontaneous anger thing.
