Title: Armada Online Alpha signups
Post by: Trippy on May 08, 2006, 02:41:42 AM
Armada Online is now accepting Alpha signups here (http://www.armada-online.com/alphareg.php). Their website (http://www.armada-online.com/phpbb2/index.php) has very little info about the game but it looks like some sort of Subspace/Asteroids-style PvP game with some PvE elements (aliens you can fight), based on the original Armada for the Dreamcast. The Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armada_Online) has a little bit of info.

It looks quite limited from that article. Still, a sci-fi game could be fun I guess.

Eve has many interesting and innovative ideas, but their interface blows chunks in multitudinous and fundamental ways, and the third person view only heightens it's dullness.  Still a remarkable game, but Eve can certainly be improved and improved upon.

Hah, are you trying to say you'd rather play Eve in a 1st person cockpit view?

You like the pain don't you?

The only way Eve could get any better is if we took a time machine 20 years forward and the server had 1,000,000 concurrent connections.
