Title: Re: Vanguard Beta Newsletter: April Post by: Merusk on May 07, 2006, 12:53:54 PM Not very, they both feel the same way about it if I recall.

Apparantly, there's more than meets the eye with those tree screenshots released earlier this week. Title: Re: Vanguard Beta Newsletter: April Post by: Simond on May 08, 2006, 05:29:29 AM Just like pretty much everything else that was supposed to make Vanguard 'innovative and 3rd gen'.
It's going to have the fastest population crash post-launch of anything this side of NGE SWG, IMO. Title: Re: Vanguard Beta Newsletter: April Post by: Merusk on May 08, 2006, 06:48:12 AM No, there's plenty of innovation here, guys. How many other MMOs have been daring enough to first give the finger to an entire slew of players (non-catasses) and then further define themselves by making the game less than satisfying to their target market? Clearly they are making huge inroads in the 'population crash pre-launch' and 'how to blow more VC cash than David Allen or The Phantom' areas.
Title: Re: Vanguard Beta Newsletter: April Post by: Mesozoic on May 08, 2006, 07:04:40 AM A big population drop requires a big population. This one will start and end with a wimper.

I am Brad McQuaid! I am the messiah of MMO! I think Brad M and David A should design a game TOGETHER, while working for Turbine and than have SOE publish it! I think the universe would implode from the black hole of shit that would create. Title: Re: Vanguard Beta Newsletter: April Post by: schild on May 08, 2006, 06:43:09 PM So Gods and Heroes is going to suck because SOE is publishing it?
Interesting. Title: Re: Vanguard Beta Newsletter: April Post by: HRose on May 09, 2006, 05:48:43 AM This is a news from one month ago (http://n3rfed.blogs.com/n3rfed/2006/04/odds_and_ends.html).

Yes Brad will make the whole game a huge grind fest, where you kill trees. While David will tell the press how its going to change the world!
