An investigation found that heavy traffic at MySpace.com was eating up too much bandwidth, said August Alfonso, the school's chief of information and technology. Forty percent of daily Internet traffic at the college involved the site, he said.

"We pay for school and the resources that are used," said Zeke Santos, 20. "It's our choice, we're the ones paying for our classes. If we pass or fail, it's up to us."

HURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!  Yes, I'm sure your $20/credit community college tuition is more than enough to keep the school running all on its own.  Maybe you should teach them a lesson by transferring to a private university.

When myspace browsing slows down my f13 board reading I get upset.  Tough luck Mr. Santos.

What a fucking moron.

You know, if you don't even care about the classes, you could just use myspace at home. Then, you won't have classes to worry about, and you can surf in your underwear so you can properly use all the female profiles these guys are constantly looking at.

"ZOMG, Cleavage Shot!!" *fap fap fap*

You know that's what these myspace kiddies are doing.

Ewww.

Just Ewww.

Hey, at least it's not me. I don't use this stuff at all. This is about as far as I ever got towards "using" myspace. (http://www.myspace.com/strazos)

(I haven't looked at it in....awhile. I have no idea what it says, and I'm not going to look....at least it should provide some laughs for...someone.)

Your friends list is very lonely-looking.  And slightly creepy.

I remember that I only bothered to add one person before I gave up on the idea.

Though I have no idea why he put that picture as his avatar...

I sent you an invite so that my creepiness can be added to your own.

If your're in your late20s/early 30s, not one for singles bar and usual pickup joints, and dont mind chatting up single mums and others in a similar situation, myspace is great. I've only met one nightmare date/relationship so far, the rest have easily justified the time ive put into myspace. I dont speak to anyone under their mid 20s nor browse the their profiles, so i guess i just dont feel the hate you guys have, sorry ;)

I have a nice cousin, Penfold!  Well, "nice" is a rather subjective word, no?.  Anyway... she's just 30 and VERY pretty.  She's married right now but I don't expect it to last long as she is sort of mean.  She used to be gothy but now she's just kind of gothy looking.   :-)  I'm sure you'd love her for a little while.

I scoffed at MySpace for a long time, but it's turned out to be a fairly decent way to stay in touch with old friends.  You just have to ignore the random friend invites is all.

I figure that if they were good enough friends, I wouldn't need MySpace to keep track of them. As a faithful married man, I don't see the appeal. If I was single I would have an account, however  :-D

It's true, I have a lot of pretty mediocre friends.

David Spade (The Showbiz Show) killed with his MySpace rant last night.  Even had Tila Margarita on who it must be said knew what she was getting into and was a good sport (and anyways, she got another 15 minutes added to her fame so it's all good).

I've been taking a stand on principals with regards to myspace for some time, it has spawned so many fucking shitty webpages with giant glittering animated .gifs and link/backround combinations that make it impossible to read anything that I dont feel it should be forgiven.

I can see the appeal but I choose not to fuck with it, I'm not willing to put in the time, random time killing is what games/forums are for.

I was very careful to make sure I lowercased "mediocre" to avoid this sort of confusion.   :-(

He's gone and ruined a perfectly good word for the rest of us, dammit.

I noticed the lower case but couldn't completely resist.  That probably got it out of my system since I almost let it go.

Tsk.  Mediocre just means the paler side of average after all... ;)
