Title: R&D Post by: gimpyone on April 20, 2006, 10:09:41 AM I'm thinking about getting agent or two, but every where I read says that my chances are next to 0. Any of the vets care to tell me if it is really worth it?

Title: Re: R&D Post by: TripleDES on April 20, 2006, 03:50:46 PM There are a lot of people that amassed hundreds of thousands of RPs since EVE went final, usually grouped into alliances. Your chances will be practically zero. Also, you're better off saving the time needed to train the skills required for R&D. To research a certain arena, you need a related skill, which depends on Science V and Electronics/Mechanic/Engineering V (whatever is related to the research).
If you're a vet character who trained all these base skills to V, you can allow the luxury of comedy training practically useless skills for kicks, but otherwise I'd save the time for more important skills. Also, the research system's due to an overhaul. Apparently reverse engineering is finally going in, there'll be auctions with RPs, future T3 stuff will require effort instead of luck. Especially reverse engineering is interesting, word is that you just need all the components on the T2 BPO to generate a limited run BPC.
