So I got a copy of Civilization 4 a week or so ago, and finally got around to (attempting) installing the game.  The problem is that my disk 2 causes errors during the install process.  It seems that a ton of bad CD's were shipped out, and I won the lottery and got one.  Can anyone create an ISO image of their disk 2 or host the cab 3 file for me?  I would be eternally grateful!

FYI, I seem to have misplaced the receipt, so an exchange is looking unlikely.  Sucks spending 50 dollars on a game, getting psyched up about it, then finding out you cannot play the damn thing. 

Meh, anywhere should exchange it if you raise a huff. Hell, a straight exchange is what they'll offer you. Just take it to a gamestop or EB.

And if they get personal be like - look, I just want disc 2. You could take it out of the box right there and just trade that disc with me.

You could just hit up a torrent and only download image 2. Use uTorrent (http://www.utorrent.com/). You can choose which pieces to download when you begin a torrent.

I will try this.  Schild, in case you have not noticed, I am extremely Unibomber (unabomber? I do not want to get dragged into the gulag!) with my personal encounters.  This is a large part of why I am celibate currently.  I do not like being near people.  AT ALL.  It bothers me to no end.  But this could go into another thread and such.

Great.  I just got a new copy of the game from a different source and get the same fucking error.  This really makes me want to just pirate shit instead of bothering with the whole "pay for what you get" model.  Argh.  :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x
