That hockey fight video was fucking awesome.

Things I love about the hockey fight vid:

1) The refs have obviously been instructed to let fights start and even continue for a short time.  They stand right next to dueling players and do nothing.
2) The hockey commentators switch immediately and seamlessly to boxing commentators, offering blow-by-blow accounts.
3) Metallica playing in the background.  Ambiance!

It's like SlapShot 3. Beauty, eh.

I don't understand the anti-goon sentiment in NHL these days.  This video is a monument.

That is the beauty of it. The only goon-ish players involved were the first two (Brashears and Roy). The rest were just pissed off hockey players. Chara can seriously fight, but he is also a very good defensemen, so fighting isn't his primary job.

I would like to see a repeat of this with McGrattan and Brashears going at it. That would be a hell of a scrap.

LOVE me some hockey, especially hard-nosed, physical, take a number and pay him back later hockey.

This has been in the books for quite a while.  Refs were getting punched in the face or stepped on, so instead they let them fight until they fall to the ice where it is pretty safe to break them apart.

Although I'm sure there's some truth to the fact that some of it was due to the ratings. ;)

Wouldn't it make more sense to add Google and Youtube to the thread title. Your cutting out 99.99999% of the cool shit on the internet by saying Myspace. You're also damning people to possibly browse there and it's quite possibly the ugliest place on Earth and even more probable that many work filters don't allow myspace anywhere near their shit.

Also, stickied in useless news is useless videos.

I think the general rule of thumb is that the fight continues until one player is at an obvious disadvantage, i.e. falls to ice, has his hands so tied up in sweater that is defenseless, etc.)

Great to see the goalies go at it and I love the tradition that only another goalie can take shots at a goalie.

My favorite is the one nearly at the very end where they are facing off and as soon as the puck is out of the circle they just drop gloves.

Too bad the guy edited some of the non-play shots out. You all missed a great shot of the benches.

They had about 6 people left, combined.
