Dell XPS 600 Renegade (http://www.dell.com/html/us/products/renegade/renegade.html?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs) (WARNING! Flash site!)

Can't cut and paste the info since it's a fucking Flash page but the highlights are:

  • Quad (yes four) 7900s
  • Overclocked 4.2 GHz Pentium EE (dual core)
  • Dual RAID 0 160 GB Raptors

Are those fucking screenshots of Auto Assault?

Also, Quad-SLI is so far overboard I cannot even come up with the proper amount of venom for such a thing.

There is no fucking way I'd spend that much on a PC when there are usually about 3-4 games a YEAR out for the PC worth playing.

I think it comes with a 30 inch lcd that runs at some insane resolution.

Waste of money, since no game out there will make use of that much power.  Meaning, you buy something and don't wind up using it.  At whatever point games do start to get beefy enough to need that much power, the graphics cards will be outdated anyway and probably not support the super-duper-tripple-x-shading required for DirectX 14.

4 video cards..........FOUR FUCKING VIDEO CARDS............I bet that thing sounds like a fucking jumbo jet when you turn it on.  I mean, i dont even want to know what kind of ventilation 4 video cards would require to prevent your system from heating up to industrial oven like temperatures.

I've been told you could hear my PC in the background when I used TeamSpeak.

I can hear my PC running downstairs at the front door if my bedroom door is cracked open.

Isnt it 2 gigabyte (or a dell own brand one) dual gpu cards in SLI ?

Anyway, 9k is ridiculously expensive. I could build that for 4-5k and thats me buying the parts retail (id love to see manufacturing cost of that monitor), and i suspect, better specs on storage, and with water cooling (if poss on an o/c'd dual p4 EE).

edit : found a gigabyte 4 sli board, altho only 2 sli supported. Speccing it up now.

oh i kept near to its spec, except i put in a refridgerated case to make up for the custom artwork. I would go for a FX60 and just dual SLI myself :P The Apple 30" would have worked out more i think, and I couldnt be bothered to find the physics pci card. Im missing some cables, OS, speakers, wireless, kb, mouse and delivery too. Oops.

I personally do not have a problem with it. It's a very big ThermalTake heatsink/fan combo.

Some people are really particular about having stealthy fans, but not me. Hey, at least I can actually tell the system is On.

I can usually tell from the pictures on the monitor.

Not shocking. Every year people line up to buy whatever European ultra-premium brand of car is being pumped out in the single to double digits also. Money to burn and whatnot.

Auto Assault?  --Credit.  If they install TESIV on it, I'd like to see that.  Not that I'd drop $10k for a computer.
