Title: Origamiproject.com - Microsofts new shizzle.
Post by: schild on February 24, 2006, 10:52:28 AM
Fo' realz my niggas. I actually really like the flash that makes up the website (http://www.origamiproject.com/1/)

But I think the point here is to speculate.

My money is on this concerning Tetsuya Mizoguchi - possibly the Ninety Nine Nights demo, possibly Lumines or Every Extend Extra on Xbox Live Arcade. At least the first 3 pictures are trademark mizoguchi.

But even I'm finding that a hard pill to swallow. Americans will already be able to nab the N3 demo off XBL on March first and this is news on March 2nd. And I don't see Sony letting Lumines or Every Extend Extra drop onto the 360.

Speculate, my weasel hivemind!

Gay.

Nice music.

Still gay.

Things like this don't excite me, because there isn't enough info to fill a microthimble.

Would you rather there had been a gobknobbling preview?

At least cockgnobbling game previews tell me that's there actually a game (shitty or not) in production. This just tells me... well nothing at all, actually. A date. A date for finding out more information.

I am not down with the scavenger hunt mentality.

One of those pictures looked like the Advent Rising logo, which can only spell doom.

I don't know, seems like something aimed at iPod types, maybe some sort of Media PC appliance that fits between your cheek and gum.

It has nothing to do with Advent Rising.

And yes, it very well could be an announcement of the compatibility of Vista. But Microsoft has always been a little weird with codenames. Bungie's new project is called Piņata.

We can only hope.  The yellow-circle picture caused my tic to come back.

Somehow I forgot Vista is supposed to arrive before Giftmas.

My new project is codenamed "Turgid Cock".

it smells of vista convergance.

Actually, I think it might be full backwards compatibility.

But the dialogue on the page, man they ripped off Rez big time.

Meet Project Origami.

Basically, a bulky looking tablet PC that interoperates with cameras/phones/wifi/etc with super Pictochat. My guess, bluetooth everything outside of the regular wifi.

Wow. That piece of hardware is shitty. I mean, I can see use for it, especially if it's only $300-500. Any more than that though and pffffffffffffft. It's not a goddamn gaming machine. It's just way too big. My slim PS2 with a 7 inch widescreen lcd attachment is smaller than it.

I think your linky is brokey.

Is this what you meant? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHgkZ-yIQfM&feature=Views&page=1&t=t&f=b)

If so, it's commercials like that which make me want to exterminate everyone under 25.

I see it's uses.

It will work, and be successful.

As long as it doesn't have 200 different accessories, 5 versions that don't interface right, no heating problems, and software that's cheap.

Oh, and a 60gb harddrive.

All stock for $299.99

The guys at ign claim that clip is an year old - "Keep in mind that the movie is a year old, and is purely video concept art at this point, reported the Seattle Post Intelligencer." - linky (http://gear.ign.com/articles/691/691935p1.html) (useless article, they say nothing in a couple thousand symbols). They also say that thing is a "handheld". Errr... I can hold a brick in my hand, that doesn't exactly qualify bricks as "handheld".
