Can I get a "Fuck EA" from the congregation? Title: Re: EA to Fight Night Round 3 online players - Pay us $2 or get spammed Post by: Riggswolfe on February 22, 2006, 12:16:57 PM Man, that's evil. Plain and simple. I just got Fight Night Round 3 for the XBOX and am finding myself quite glad that MS runs XBOX live not EA. Though I can gurantee you if something like this popped up on XBOX LIVE I'd be taking the game back and never touching an EA product. It sounds like I'll never touch one for PSP though.
I wonder if it's legal or if they'll get sued at some point? And it was a boxing game. And it didn't have Little Mac.

I never tried it online but did quite a bit of it single player over at my friends house while I was visiting. Terribly impressive looking and playing game especially on a HDTV. Kinda funny the game does have UI stuff to tell you about your health and stamina but we turned it all off as its not necessary. The game does such a good job at animations and look and feel you don't need any UI to figure out how you or your opponent is doing.
The 2 dollars or get spammed is cheesy though. kaid Title: Re: EA to Fight Night Round 3 online players - Pay us $2 or get spammed Post by: eldaec on April 09, 2006, 12:01:23 PM Man, that's evil. I wonder if it's legal or if they'll get sued at some point? It's perfectly legal. Why wouldn't it be? They are (presumably) releasing information only in the manner you agree to when you sign up to the service. This is still all very fucked up shit ofc; but the solution is to stop buying crappy console titles from EA. I thought we had all stopped doing that already? Apparently not. |
