Title: I R LES NUB
Post by: Yegolev on February 15, 2006, 10:27:53 AM
Turns out that the 15-minute aggression timer you get after, say, being CONCORDOKKEN, is just an estimate.  The actual timer is a bit variable and something like 15-20 minutes.

So - did you lose another ship?

Ah, so you missed the later part?  I lost my combat Tristan due to not knowing about the invisible extra bit on the aggression timer,  then lost a noob frig after watching the timer to make sure I hadn't somehow just not noticed it, leaving station mere seconds after the timer disappeared.  I came out of the station and two other F13 outside the station were like "Did you just get killed by CONCORD again?"  Even more funny, when I flew out in the Velator (still holding my consolation prize of one tritanium!) I saw all of these crosses on the horizon and was like "Wow, those CONCORD guys are all bunched up for some reason... they seem to be getting closer... why are they targeting me?"

It's a good thing the new Exequror I bought is located in another station, otherwise another 3.4M would have been sacrificed to Player Experience.  On the off chance that logging out is one of the several events that resets the CONCORD timer, I will log in and cool my heels in-station for at least 30 minutes before testing the void.  In a Velator, of course.

My lost cruiser was named Fishkill.  This one will be Fishkilled.

Heheh DOH! Ah well when you do stuff like that you just have to sit back in your chair laugh a bit and chalk it up to experiance.

Oh yeah, total learning experience.  I am just not one of those people that absorb something until I do it.  Been reading the EVE knowledge base today, too, having been sufficiently motivated.

At least you didn't laugh about someone getting cordorked and then getting the same yourself 7 minutes later...... guess I needed to learn the hard way :p

I pull up to the station and see a Concord fleet shooting at Yego.  I confess - I might have snickered.

Hell, I would have laughed at me.  It was even more comedic on my end.

I am sorry that I was somewhat indirectly responsible for Zet being dorked.  I'll pony up some minerals once I get back into production.

I am fully responsible for my dumbassery but damn it was too tempting to try.  Took them about 2 seconds to warp to me and I was warp scrambled before I could blink :p

Sooo who was building those ruptures again.

I offered to build one for Zet, but my Industrial is only 2 so someone else will probably have a better turnout than me.
