Don't you want to find your old intarweb friends? Wait, that's not myspace.

Myspace is mostly used for nailing hot young broads. There was a time I would have found it invaluable (we used AOL for that  ), but now it is just irritating. Some of the pages I have seen would make a dung beetle vomit.

I have no shame.  At least I don't update it.

It's best use is to see what sort of shit Killjoy has been smoking.  He did obtain some internet tang, incidentally.

I never understood the point or allure of MySpace or Facebook.

I think I have a MySpace, but I don't give a shit and I don't update it.

I have no interest in nailing hot, young broads so I probably don't have whatever it is you people are talking about.

As alumni, Facebook is a great way to keep in touch and up to date with college friends.

But if it had been around when I was a student, you bet your ass I'd have been using it to try and find some hot tang.*

*Keyword:  try.

I have a MySpace.  I ran into a high school friend a while ago by pure chance and found out from him that a lot of our mutual friends were on there, so I gritted my teeth and made a page (http://www.myspace.com/anachronistic_alchemist ).  It's actually been kinda cool seeing names and faces that I haven't seen since the previous millenium.

Using MySpace to find people, for whatever reason, just seems like a lot of trouble.

Also, the whole thing makes me skeevy whenever I go to the site. I don't know why.

Edit: If I do actually have one of these things, I'd really like to delete it, but I just can't bring myself to actually go and do it. It's kind of the same way I feel about packing up my stuff because I am moving this weekend - I want to...but I just don't feel like it.

Assuming you mean trouble in the sense of it's difficult, it's really not, which is one thing that kinda impresses me about MySpace - it's very user-friendly.  (Which probably is part of why there are so many AOL kiddies on it, but I can respect the software even if I don't respect the community that uses it.)

When you register your account you have the option of entering in all sorts of random information (like your hobbies, schools you've gone to, et cetera), and it indexes all of that stuff so that if you've said what schools you've gone to, they'll show up as links in your profile, which you can click to see a list of other users who went to the same school (that list is further filterable by year of graduation and other details).

The built-in calendar system is also fairly nifty.  One of my friends has a MySpace page for his band (there's a whole special set of features built specifically for that, including stuff like streaming MP3s of your band's recordings), and all their gigs go on the built-in calendar, so everyone who has the band listed as a "friend" (like me) will see upcoming gigs and so forth on their own page.

Precisely why I loathe myspace and admire facebook.  You have to use an @.edu email address just to register, so that filters out a hell of a lot of noise.
