Title: Rupture Setup Post by: gimpyone on January 29, 2006, 11:01:50 AM Currently I have the following:
4x220m vulcan autocannon I 2x Heavy Launcher 1 10mn ab 1 20k warp scram webber 3 gyrostab 1 medium armor repair I got tore a new one before I even get in range to use my guns usually. I was thinking of replacing the gyros with armor hardners but they take up a lot of cpu. Any other suggestions? Title: Re: Rupture Setup Post by: Raging Turtle on January 29, 2006, 11:35:59 AM Webber? Scrambler? If you're going pirate, I'd take off a launcher and add a medium Nos. Also throw some 1600 or 800mm armor on there.
In the Ships and Modules forum, there's a sticky with setups for almost every ship - I'm sure there are PvE or PvP setups for the Rupture, its a popular ship. Make sure to see if the info is post-RMR. Title: Re: Rupture Setup Post by: gimpyone on January 29, 2006, 11:46:53 AM new setup
4x 180mm 2x med nos 10mn ab 1 20k scram web explosive hardner therm hardner kinetic hardner Title: Re: Rupture Setup Post by: Strazos on January 29, 2006, 02:56:17 PM I think that you need an armor plate - it's the difference between "Can be killed in a reasonable time" and "too much frickin' armor to chew through."
Title: Re: Rupture Setup Post by: MahrinSkel on January 29, 2006, 04:32:41 PM You should have enough power grid for at least an 400mm plate, maybe an 800mm (some put 1600mm battleship armor on their ruptures, but that doesn't leave much for guns). And like he says, it makes the Rupture hell to kill, even a BS has to chew on you for a while.
--Dave Title: Re: Rupture Setup Post by: gimpyone on January 29, 2006, 07:50:35 PM short 86 power. I could drop a nos I suppose.
Title: Re: Rupture Setup Post by: Zetleft on January 29, 2006, 08:10:21 PM Could add a reactor or power diagnostic to give you more power. Low slot item, I have like 3 on me so I can use my 4 720 howitzers and 2 heavy launchers on my rupture.
Title: Re: Rupture Setup Post by: gimpyone on January 29, 2006, 08:28:29 PM I need to know the differences between resistance plates, energized, and hardners if someone can tell me.
Title: Re: Rupture Setup Post by: Hoax on January 29, 2006, 09:54:44 PM Hardeners are 30energy every 20seconds for a 50% boost to one resist + a passive 1% boost.
Energized are a passive 30% boost to one resist. Resistance Plates are a passive 15% boost to one resist, they take almost nothing to fit though (1MW on your powergrid). Basically if you are comfortable with your cap usage from other modules you want Hardeners. If you aren't you want Energized or Resistance based on how CPU remaining. Hope that helps... Title: Re: Rupture Setup Post by: Strazos on January 30, 2006, 03:51:39 AM I always preferred passive resistances, so that even if you get NOS'ed to hell, your resistances don't drop.
Title: Re: Rupture Setup Post by: gimpyone on January 30, 2006, 09:17:26 AM That's my thought too.
Title: Re: Rupture Setup Post by: Kashre on February 23, 2006, 01:28:13 AM Sort of an old thread, but I love the rupture :)
Personally, I would go for speed. Treat it like a big rifter. 4x 220 2x medium nos (or maybe 3 guns/3 nos to be sure to out-nos enemy) MWD web 7.5km scram medium armor rep 2-3 armor hardeners (take your pick) 1-2 fitting modules as need, or more armor stuff, or gyros. I dont like using plates, plates make you slow and your basically set up as a tackler... speed is you freind there. If you HAVE to use a plate, use a nanofiber. Title: Re: Rupture Setup Post by: WayAbvPar on February 23, 2006, 09:49:57 AM I am ready to fly my first Rupture, but I can't find a BPC on the market anywhere. The only built Ruptures in Kor Azor are like 8.4M, and homey ain't paying that much. I need to go to Jita and reescrow something anyway (forgot to label it the first time..doh!), so maybe I will have more luck there.

Or was that my imagination? Title: Re: Rupture Setup Post by: WayAbvPar on February 23, 2006, 09:54:48 AM We have a Rifter BPO cooking (ready Saturday...finally!), but no Rupture.
Title: Re: Rupture Setup Post by: Yoru on February 23, 2006, 10:06:59 AM The cruiser BPO that we have is a Caracal BPO; it'll be partially done at the end of the month and will require about another 15 days in the oven to fully bake up to usable levels.
Title: Re: Rupture Setup Post by: Viin on February 23, 2006, 12:39:56 PM Whoever is researching that Caracal BPO, can you please make a 5-6 copies of it before doing any more research on it? It'd be nice to have around, thanks!
Title: Re: Rupture Setup Post by: WayAbvPar on February 23, 2006, 12:53:12 PM I will do the same when the Rifter BPO comes out of the cooker. I can't believe I didn't think to copy it beforehand. I R N00b.

It'd be nice to have around, thanks! If we don't have a caracal BPC already sitting around, I will. It's still another two weeks before it comes out for the first time. Title: Re: Rupture Setup Post by: Viin on February 23, 2006, 04:48:53 PM We do have a Caracal BPC, but there's only 1 run left on it. If you have another one or want to chip in with me to buy one we can do that while we wait. I think we only need a 5 run one, since we aren't making those guys every day.
Title: Re: Rupture Setup Post by: Hoax on February 23, 2006, 04:58:37 PM I'm going to finally be heading back to Neesh (long story, will send a corpmail) tonight -I hope- but in the meantime I'm up in the Lonetrek area so if you evemail me a price and the details of what you need I can bring one down with me.
