Apparently Apple hired the makers of The Postal Service (http://www.postalservicemusic.net/)'s music video, and recreated it for their MacIntel advert.

"It has recently come to our attention that Apple Computers' new television commercial for the Intel chip features a shot-for-shot recreation of our video for 'Such Great Heights' made by the same filmmakers responsible for the original. Cashing in on the controversy, Apple have made The Postal Service's video available for two bucks on iTunes.

That's mighty fucked up. I wonder if Apple was aware of the similarities at all or if the production company was pulling a bullshit move due to deadlines/lack of original content/ etc.? It definitely puts Ben in a bad spot though. I wonder if he'll do anything about it or if the "we're disappointed" post is all the further it will go.
