Title: Useless WoW trivia Post by: heck on January 21, 2006, 10:04:51 AM The theme music for Gnomes is the theme music from Farenheit 911. (ever notice?)

Title: Re: Useless WoW trivia Post by: Paelos on January 21, 2006, 11:54:44 AM The theme from Zul'Gurrub is actually CCR's "Run through the Jungle"...
Not really, but that would make it super badass. Title: Re: Useless WoW trivia Post by: Xanthippe on January 22, 2006, 08:52:14 PM I guess I should turn music on, huh?
Title: Re: Useless WoW trivia Post by: Dren on January 23, 2006, 06:40:45 AM I guess I should turn music on, huh? I was thinking the same thing except I'd also have to turn on my speakers. Title: Re: Useless WoW trivia Post by: Ironwood on January 23, 2006, 08:09:26 AM I did. It sucked. I turned it off.
(Note, I mean sucked as in distracted me.) Title: Re: Useless WoW trivia Post by: Rasix on January 23, 2006, 09:21:11 AM I might turn music back on when I get a new computer. On the laptop, I'm sure it's just causing me performance problems.
Then again, I'm not sure how well the in game sound, vent, and the music would mash. Title: Re: Useless WoW trivia Post by: Morfiend on January 23, 2006, 10:13:58 AM The theme music for Un'goro crater is a slowed down version of Ironman. I believe when you first enter Un'gorro it plays the theme from Land of the Lost. Title: Re: Useless WoW trivia Post by: TheTijuanaBrass on January 23, 2006, 10:16:57 AM Personally, I found the music in WoW to be boring and oh so very forgettable (certainly not comparable to previous Blizzard titles, save possibly Warcraft III). Some of the ambience was pretty nice though.
But anyways, if you want at the music for whatever reason, it's archived in World of Warcraft\data\sound.mpq and located at \Sound\Music\ZoneMusic\nameofzonetype\nameoffile.mp3 inside the archive, with some other tracks at \Sound\Music\CityMusic\nameofcity\nameoffile.mp3, \Sound\Music\MusicalMoments\type\nameoffile.mp3 \Sound\Ambience\ZoneAmbience\nameofzone\nameoffile.wav and \Sound\Ambience\WMOAmbience\nameofzone\nameoffile.wav. All easily accessible with WinMPQ (http://shadowflare.gameproc.com/dwnload.html#WinMPQ) or any other MPQ editor of your choice. Edit: Ok, I think I got them all now. |
