"I don't know if he thought I was going to get up and leave or what, but he pulled his gun. I thought it was a gun. I'd never seen a Taser gun in my life and I thought, 'Oh my God. He's going to shoot me. He's going to kill me,'" Kidwell said. The police lieutenant said she was resisting arrest, WCMH reported. Kidwell said she was in a fetal position and unable to move when the lieutenant ordered her to get up and continued to shock her. I'm sure several more officers could have easily secured her arms and forced her prone so she could be handcuffed. After all, I wouldn't ask a police officer to face an old woman in a chair by himself.

The only way to safely deal with a 90 lb arthritic grandmother is to taser her until she is a shivering, drooling pile of flesh, at which point the dogs can be brought in test for explosives or box cutters. Had there been time, tear gas should also have been employed, but since she was already in the process of enacting some sort of plan, the only option was to think fast and taser. The article failed to go on to say, after being arrested she will be deported to Guantanimo where she will be tortured for information on other cells for 1-2 years, after which point she may be released for trial. Should there be lingering doubt, she will transferred again, this time to secret facilities in eastern Europe for further processing.
