That was awful. I really hope people with money aren't using information like that to choose which gaming companies to invest in, but if they are, it would explain a lot.

Interesting to finally put a face to the name of the guy I've been giving money to for the past 20+ years. Kinda funny to hear him use the same mannerisms as his brother, like liberal use of the word "basically."

But yeah, it really serves to show how in-the-dark the business world is about the entertainment industry. NCSoft are certainly pioneers, but I don't think for example Guild Wars was the first online game without a subscription fee. And we're still hearing about how gamers play "against" others, which can exclude drawing a lot of females and older gamers into the market, who would love to hear how they can play "with" others.

I believe that is a geek thing, something imbedded in the very genetic structure of all geeks everywhere.
