Title: New Reasons not to touch another gamer's mouse Post by: HaemishM on May 13, 2004, 12:05:37 PM Shamelessly copied from a link on The Morlocks:
CNN Article on Racy Games (http://money.cnn.com/2004/05/11/technology/e3_nekkidgames/index.htm) Now we all know about Leisure Suit Larry's "comeback" as it were. But this one just floored me. Quote "Singles" is best described as a naughty version of "The Sims." It doesn't shy away from male or female full frontal nudity – and the graphics are rather sophisticated. You'll play matchmaker for two characters, setting them up as roommates and running their daily lives, with a particular focus on dating and relationships. Once one character has successfully wooed the other, the game goes into a voyeuristic mode, letting you watch the ensuing... um, action. Character couplings can be same-sex if the player so chooses. Ummmm.... WTF? The Sims was creepy enough, now we have virtual dating simulations? Are you secure enough in your patheticness that you will put this game down on the counter and walk out with it? EDIT: Apparently, they will offer this game only through download, because it got slapped with an AO rating, which retailers pretty much see as X or NC-17. Thank god it was free, as in beer.
