Title: Alliance Servers Post by: stray on September 23, 2005, 04:51:06 PM Who's playing Alliance here? Would you welcome another? I'm DYING to play an Elf.
[edit] Haemish is right. The Horde needs Blood Mangina. Title: Re: Alliance Servers Post by: Pococurante on September 23, 2005, 06:05:34 PM All suspicions confirmed.
Carry on. ;) Title: Re: Alliance Servers Post by: MrHat on September 23, 2005, 07:34:17 PM Who's playing Alliance here? Would you welcome another? I'm DYING to play an Elf. [edit] Haemish is right. Title: Re: Alliance Servers Post by: Fabricated on September 23, 2005, 09:50:30 PM I play Alliance on Shadow Council and Proudmoore.
Title: Re: Alliance Servers Post by: Paelos on September 23, 2005, 10:12:54 PM Please don't come to Proudmoore.
It's a festering Aussie shithole. Title: Re: Alliance Servers Post by: Fabricated on September 23, 2005, 10:39:57 PM Please don't come to Proudmoore. ...and naturally, they point us at a high population server for transfers! Thanks Blizzard! It's a festering Aussie shithole. The question is though, what other normal servers are there that aren't packed completely to the brim? Off Topic: I have yet to have see you on Proudmoore, You must play at weird times. My main toon is Bryce (level 57, yay), and my most active guildmates are Nickoli (Elf, Hunter), Fizgit (Gnome, lock), and Orys (Human, Pally). They're all 60. Title: Re: Alliance Servers Post by: stray on September 24, 2005, 05:53:10 AM Blackhand doesn't seem too packed. I have a friend who's been playing Horde there, but I may roll Alliance anyways (and maybe that'll coerce him to play with me too ).
I have a few friends on Hellscream as well (but who don't play much), and that seems to teeter-totter between Low and Medium (at least when I look). /undecided And btw Hat, don't worry, I won't be rolling an Elf. I'm just fucking with you guys....I'd just really like to try a Human Mage. Title: Re: Alliance Servers Post by: Shockeye on September 24, 2005, 06:11:08 AM Who's playing Alliance here? I had already abandoned my orc hunter for a less crowded server so I don't know how well the transfer relieved the crowding but it had a huge alliance imbalance before I left and queues of several hundred. Incidently, Cenarius, where I started a new character after getting tired of the line ups on Blackhand has grown from a comfortable medium pop server to a Full server in the server listings. You just can't win I guess. Title: Re: Alliance Servers Post by: Shockeye on September 24, 2005, 10:19:30 AM And btw Hat, don't worry, I won't be rolling an Elf. That's the third comment like that here, and it's starting to make me think "Why would I WANT to go back to Emerald Dream now?" No...You can't be serious. Title: Re: Alliance Servers Post by: MrHat on September 24, 2005, 07:56:08 PM I'm just messing with you, but I do hate NE's.
It's cool to play alliance, I've got a 36 hunter on Moonrunner (our last failed attempt) that I could scrap and send you the gold on. Title: Re: Alliance Servers Post by: Paelos on September 24, 2005, 09:36:23 PM My main is Paelos, go figure, 60 warrior.
That's pretty much it. Contact me alliance side Proudmoore. Title: Re: Alliance Servers Post by: stray on September 24, 2005, 11:23:27 PM Thanks for the offers fellas, but Proudmoore has a big queue and I can't get any of my names on Moonrunner (no, they're not "uber" names or anything :-)).
[edit] I think I'll be playing Cenarion Circle. Anyone on there? I'll be on as Rydan or Doyle. Title: Re: Alliance Servers Post by: stray on September 25, 2005, 02:30:16 PM I'm human though...
And on that note, WoW is a much more polished game from the human perspective. It also makes more sense this way (then again, I never cared much for the Horde in the strategy games either). I won't totally be leaving Emerald Dream though. At the moment, this is just for alts. Title: Re: Alliance Servers Post by: Dren on September 26, 2005, 05:09:23 AM I still play my Alliance characters on my PvE server Whisperwind. All start with Dren*.
I burned through a ton of time on Emerald Dream as Horde and all I can say is, Alliance is better. I'll still spend some time with you guys, but as a pvp horde lowbie needing to get into the contested areas for my next level and playing solo, it sucks. If I'm going to play solo, I'd rather play my alliance chars. Title: Re: Alliance Servers Post by: Zetor on September 26, 2005, 11:20:29 PM Playing a random number of lv60s on Crushridge (west coast low-pop pvp). The server sucks, but my old server (Bleeding Hollow) sucked more.

Quote Alliance is better. Die elven scum. Title: Re: Alliance Servers Post by: Strazos on October 01, 2005, 07:32:50 PM You know why it's better? Because Blizzard was dumb enough to match 20s Horde vs 30+ Alliance. No wonder it's easier....

It's all alliance until the high level BGs. Then, the Horde always wins. Why? Because even Sun Tzu will tell you that the ability to pick and choose your battles always equals victory. Title: Re: Alliance Servers Post by: Zetor on October 03, 2005, 01:13:29 AM How can a server with Shadowclan (http://www.shadowclan.org) on it suck ? Yes, SC is part of the reason we (or I should say, the WOW-RA community) originally chose BH. But by now they've all but disbanded... and are ostracized by pretty much the entire server. Bleeding Hollow is just full of immature griefers and asstards. If you want proof, just check the realm forum.-- Z. Yep. I didn't say I like Alliance because the elven women look sexy. Blizzard developed it so Alliance is easier and it takes less time to get things done. That, and PvE servers allow you to accomplish quests and leveling much easier and quicker. I could fight against the "powa" like some of you, but I don't have the time. I had 6 hours of playtime last week and all of it came in 30 minute increments. Which server do you suppose I chose to spend that time on? It has nothing to do with you guys. I enjoy the conversations and stories that come from the peeps there, but time unfortunately doesn't allow me to both enjoy your group and get anywhere with my toons. I'll log in when I find the time, but that just won't be very often. I play Thoven Earthborne on Bleeding Hollow. Used to be in Protectors of Mulgore until they disbanded. Leader of Faded Glory now. As to what happened to Shadowclan: my understanding, being a member of Crimson Alliance and all, is that many of their members of Shadowclan moved to the Crimson Alliance RP-PVP server and are now playing Alliance under the Crimson Alliance guild name. Carrrazy, small world indeed (Rimfiztrik, Zaphir et al.) -- also got a ton of people here who used to play on my SWG server, Kettemoor. As to what happened to Shadowclan: my understanding, being a member of Crimson Alliance and all, is that many of their members of Shadowclan moved to the Crimson Alliance RP-PVP server and are now playing Alliance under the Crimson Alliance guild name. Yeah, I figured they'd move from BH.. but that was my point, BH was (still is?) a horrible cesspit of immature idiots. I don't regret transferring to Crushridge back in March, no. :P PoM eh? I saw that the two most vocal members (Taur, Marn) are now both in generic forumcraft guilds. Ah well. Slight tangent.. 11 months of playing alliance makes me wish we rolled horde originally. Sigh. -- Z. |
