Title: Converting an EB store credit card to cash? Post by: Kitsune on September 12, 2005, 02:13:17 PM I trust you guys*, and know there's a couple people around who work in game stores, so I come to you with a simple conundrum. I have a plastic EB card with store credit on it. I want cash rather than store credit. How do I go about shaking the money out of the invisible wallet in the sky within which it is currently trapped?
* - Trust you guys to be underhanded, shameless scammers of the system. Title: Re: Converting an EB store credit card to cash? Post by: schild on September 12, 2005, 02:32:47 PM Super easy.
Go put a game on hold. As in put all the money on your card on a preorder for something. A day or two later, come back. If they are following guidelines, nearly ALL reserve refunds are given in cash. 1. Buy game. 2. Realize - IT STINKS - They don't deserve my money. 3. Return to store - only to have them tell you. Sorry - no. We only exchange for like product on opened games. 4. Explain to them.. No - I don't mean I didn't like the game. I mean the CD didnt work. 5. Get a new unopened copy of said game. 6. Return game next day. Title: Re: Converting an EB store credit card to cash? The store credit came from my trading in my old PS2, and they did take the time to hook the PS2 itself to their television and make sure it would boot. The games themselves got nothing more than a cursory glance. I don't think they give enough of a damn about the games to test nowadays, not a lot of money involved. This has nothing to do with what he just said. The company gets its money back. |
