I would be willing to bet that the theatre was crammed full of kids doing what kids do best (make noise and run about underfoot). Unless this kid was doing laps in his wheelchair and screaming, I doubt he was any more of a distraction than the rest of the rugrats.

Parents of ANY kids need to be respectful of others' inability to cope with the noise their progeny produces, and the right to enjoy their overpriced, only mildly entertaining film. Seriously. Noisy babies/retards/dogs/squirrels make me stabby.

That is the primetime for annoying children, and as such you have no right to bitch as a patron. You can see a movie at 10PM, and if there are kids under 12 there, AND it's rated R, the parents should be dragged out into the street and coated in popcorn butter.

On one hand, they have the right to attend live events like orchestras, opera, performance art, right? But what about all the people who end up next to a person with a noisy oxygen tank? It's a god-awfully annoying and disruptive element for performances that require quiet. |
