The Finalists page is still up. (http://questforantonia.station.sony.com/en/finalists.vm) and I only took a quick glance through the rules and their entries. None of them popped into my head as "OMG stunning." More like "OMG Desperate." Particularly the one with the 'side boob' shot using shell necklaces to keep the pic 'family friendly'. The comments on almost all of their entries mention that they were in it for the Stuff magazine spread. These are not pro models, they're wannabes and attention whores looking for a 'big break' in this. As such they deserve all the respect I've been giving them. I don't expect Pro models wouldn't do something as silly as sign an exclusivity deal with SOE for the next year for only $10k and $500 per day, as the rules stipulated. The picture is awful. Her face is a bit on the cheeky side, and the light really accentuates that. Also a shot at waist level looking straight ahead or up from that range is going to make legs look awful. It put her knees and thighs as the objects closest to the camera. Anyone can look bad in a bad photo. Considering she is wearing minimal makeup, and given the quality of the camerawork, she looks pretty good. Hard light, shooting up at the nostrils, unflatering shadows on the face - all bad. The shot beside the costume is lit better, and she looks better in it.
