Post by: Stormwaltz on August 13, 2005, 02:24:09 PM That was quite interesting, especially when I realized that I was feeling more concern about religious games pitting the player against unbelievers (whether those games be Muslim or Christian oriented) than I did about Hot Coffee. It seems I need to be more careful about examining my motivations when I defend some games and question others.

And, as with title like Manhunt, or hentai dating sim games (please, nobody mention these to either Clinton), the issue of concern isn't the content or dubious morality of the game, it is the fact that an audience exists for that content.

Of course, in a war of ideology, the fact that "our" side has about as much understanding of the opposing ideology as I do of Linux means we are ill-armed to fight said war. |
