Its good to know we are still winning the most important aspect of the war on terror.  I just pray they never make an MMO good enough to channel all that frustrated catasser passion into a jihadi force....

That was quite interesting, especially when I realized that I was feeling more concern about religious games pitting the player against unbelievers (whether those games be Muslim or Christian oriented) than I did about Hot Coffee. It seems I need to be more careful about examining my motivations when I defend some games and question others.

Unambiguously heroic stories in any genre and/or medium always bother me, as they drift so quickly into propaganda.  And, as with title like Manhunt, or hentai dating sim games (please, nobody mention these to either Clinton), the issue of concern isn't the content or dubious morality of the game, it is the fact that an audience exists for that content.

I'd just like to point out that your preference should be to shoot first and ask questions of the disembodied souls later.  I'd suggest playing inquisitive, outgoing, smite clerics.

I'm about as worried by Islamic-based video games as I am by the plethora of Nazi-influenced white supremacist games out there. As in, not at all.

Of course, in a war of ideology, the fact that "our" side has about as much understanding of the opposing ideology as I do of Linux means we are ill-armed to fight said war.
