Title: Model Viewer, you almost don't need to play anymore.

Enjoy the shiny without running MC/Onyxia over and over again with 14 year-old loot whores. (http://wowmapview.sourceforge.net/wowmodelview/)

You can write a program that will layer little hit point dings above the model viewer mobs heads and render the game completely pointless. Hell, you could probably write something that would access a random piece of loot in the database and apply it to a ragdoll of your character.

I've seen some people alter their clients so that their characters wear whatever they want, ride whatever they want. etc.  Other people don't see you that way, of course, but if you want every gnome to be an ogre you can, your mage to dual wield quel'serrars, etc for your own client you can.  My favorite was a guy who changed his mount model from horse to Jaina Proudmoore (the boss of Theramore).  That woman can gallop.

I remember back in the day people using something similar to make mineral/herb nodes obvious and identifiable by type from far away.

edit: Jesus I need to proofread

Good god my poor Tauren warrior needs something like that to deal with the gnomes and dwarves, bloody invisible little ants. Not as bad with the Orc shammy, but it's still pretty horrible.

Damn thing doesn't work for me. Anything special I have to do, or is it just a case of DL and extract?

What's the problem? All you should need to do is extract the folder from the archive and run the executable. It shouldn't matter where you put the folder but you should keep all the files together (the .exe, the .dlls, and the .csv).

Thanks, that's all I wanted to hear. I don't care enough to get to the root of a more complex problem than "put it in X folder, retard". ;)

It's using the old beaststalker set and is missing the prest set entirely (at least from the selectables) but it's a fun little program to see how you'd look in other armors. .. or for the more disturbed to see how a female orc warrior (should one exsist) would look in those metal bikinis.
