I hate the term "podcasting".

I hate the way you talk to me,
And the way you cut your hair.
I hate the way you drive my car.
I hate it when you stare.

I hate your big dumb combat boots,
And the way you read my mind.
I hate you so much it makes me sick,
It even makes me rhyme.
I hate the way your always right.
I hate it when you lie.
I hate the way you make me laugh,
Even worse when you make me cry.
I hate it when your not around,
And the fact that you didn't call.
But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you,
Not even close,
Not even a little bit,
Not even at all.

I, hate the rain and sunny weather,
and I, hate beach and mountains too;
(and) I don't like a thing about the city, no, no,
and I, I, I, hate the countryside too!

And I, hate everything about you!
...everything about you!

And I, don't like a thing about your mother,
and I, I hate your daddy's guts too,
And I don't like a thing about your sister, no, no
'cause I, I, I, think sex is overrated too.

And I, get sick when I'm around, I, can't stand to be around,
I, hate everything about you!
Everything about you, everything about you, everything about you!

Some say I've got a bad attitude,
but that don't change the way I feel about you,
and if you think this might be bringing me down,
look again 'cause I ain't wearing no frown!

He was sitting there beside me
Throwin' doubles down when he ordered up his third
He looked around, then he looked at me
And said I do believe I'll have one more.
I hate this bar and I hate to drink,
But on second thought, tonight I think I hate everything.

Then he opened up his billfold and threw a 20 down
And a faded photograph fell out and hit the ground
And I picked it up he said Thank ya bud.
I put it in his hand, He said I probably oughta throw
This one away, 'cause she's the reason I feel this way,
I hate everything.

I hate my job, and I hate my life.
If it werent for my two kids, I'd hate my ex-wife.
I know I should move on and try to start again,
But I just can't get over her leaving me for him.
Then he shook his head and looked down at his ring,
And said I hate everything.

He said, That one bedroom apartment where I get my mail,
Is really not a home, it's more like a jail,
With a swimming pool and a parking lot view. Man, it's just great!

I hate summer, winter, fall, and spring,
Red and yellow, purple, blue and green.
I hate everything.

I hate my job, and I hate my life.
If it werent for my two kids, I'd hate my ex-wife.
I know I should move on and try to start again,
But I just can't get over her leaving me for him.
Then he shook his head and looked down at his ring,
And said I hate everything.

That should cover it.

I hate paperwork.
I hate rice rockets and everything Fast and Furious.
I hate people who don't realize that there's more to Elvis than just "Viva Las Vegas".
I hate people who've never had their ass kicked at least once (i.e. people who don't understand that there are actually consequences to talking shit).
I hate the fact that there are few Mom and Pop type stores left in the world.
I hate people who think the people in Bud Light commericials are cool.
I hate Pink Floyd.
I hate people who "don't watch Black and White movies".
I hate rich people, specifically "old money", and long for the day that I can crash one of their country clubs like Rodney Dangerfield in Caddyshack.

I hate pushing boxes around in games.
I hate "switch-puzzles" in 3D games.
The sum of the two above is that I dislike elements of God of War, but combat and environments push it out of the "hate" category.
I hate JDBC drivers with unique side-effects I have to code around. That would be Oracle's by the way.
I hate VisualAge for Java with its Smalltalk binary Image which makes it hell to work with.
I hate working on a project which uses the two aforementioned.
I don't know if I hate schild, there should be a poll at some point.

And since it's common to quote song lyrics in such threads, I give you "I Hate" by American poet Marilyn Manson:

You are the wind beneath my wings.
The grill across my face.
You are the fuel in my machine.
That special place.

You are the sunshine of my life.
My first and only love.
You are the apple of my eye.
You suck my blood.

And I Hate you more than life itself.
I even hate you more than i hate myself.

I hate, therefor I am.
I am, therefor I hate.

Another nail in my coffin.
Another thorn in my side.
Another gun to my temple.
(Goodbye...goodbye)

And I Hate you more than life itself.
I even hate you more than i hate myself.

I hate, therefor I am.
I am, therefor I hate.

You are the final destination.
The calm before the storm.
You are the worm within my own self.
I died when you were born.

(I died when you were born)

And I Hate you more than life itself.
I even hate you more than i hate myself.
I Hate you more than life itself.
I even hate you more than i hate myself.

I hate that people still like sports despite what the "athletes" get paid.

OK, I'll bite. I'm bored.

Who exactly do you think the money should go to then? "Sports" is going to make a tons of cash anyways, whether you like it or not. Since you have a problem with what the players themselves are getting paid, would you rather have the team owners or the merchandisers keep the majority of it? If so, then why? The way it works now has all parties involved getting their fair share.

Or is it that you don't like sports in general and can't think of any better ways in which to criticize it?

Secondly, sports is essentially "entertainment". That alone should keep them from being singled out as overpaid. All "equivalant", top teir entertainers in the respective playing fields get a fat paycheck. Why should atheletes be singled out here?

I'd argue that they deserve even more money than any other kind of entertainer: 10 year career lifespan (15 if they're lucky). Constant injury (sometimes constantly major). Practically no rest time during sports season, and very little vacation time in the offseason. Constant travel and time away from family. No other entertainers deal with that.

I hate EA.  Oh I don't give a fuck about how they treat their employees, they can all quit if they don't like it.  And I couldn't give a flaming shit less about the console sports-game market, or how EA's exclusive right to make MLBPPQ 2006 will leave you playing MVPLLB 2005 for all eternity.  Go find some real games to play, fucksticks.

No, I hate EA for fagging up UO beyond even my ability to rationalize.  (Cue Sinij:  EA fukced it up years ago!! omgzwtf trammell suxxores!)  Yes, we know.

I mean, let's just suppose...

* That UO3D had moderately attractive graphics and didn't run like shit.

* That when all that scrapped UO2 content became available, they had gone ahead and used all the weird demons but thrown away all the robots.

* That Age of Shadows had been a reasonable and logical attempt to overhaul the aging combat engine, and not just the dev team screaming "OMG MAKE IT DIABLO 2!"

* That if they wanted to add a pseudo-Asia to go along with Britannia's pseuo-Europe, they had fleshed it out properly and hired actual professional artists to draw the graphics.  (Or at least kept the NPC naming system ethnically correct!  Why did I have to see Harvey the Samurai standing around the gate everytime I went to Tokuno?!  WHY?!)

* That if they finally wanted to add player races to the game, they had used orcs, meer, juka, or gargoyles.  Races already known to exist in the game, instead of "HEY WOW HAS BLUE ELVES SO WE NEED SOME AND FUCK CONTINUITY!!!"

* That they had finally finished the Virtue system, instead of leaving it incomplete for FUCKING YEARS.  Oh yeah, and suppose they had actually gotten around to the "unified pvp system" they had hyped before quietly letting it die.

You think if things had gone as above, I'd still be playing World of Warcraft?  Like fucking hell I would.

I think Woody is an amazing director (Manhattan anyone?), and Brooks has nothing close to a photographer's skills.......But I'll always like Albert's brand of humor more. It's the humor you get from the "funny guy at work" (or places like message boards for that matter). It's realistic, everyday, subtle humor. While Woody is more scripted, "movie" humor.

Anyways, if there's a Brooks film that I like the most, it's Defending Your Life.

I think Ellen is pretty funny too. If I was a lesbian, she'd be my Seinfeld.

Albert Brooks is a genius.

Example: Mother

Who else could get it that freaking right?

And I don't think I've ever seen a movie of his that I did not like. Even his 2 minute screwing over the sink of Goldie Hawn then collapsing was mildly funny. He brings this incredibly amusing obliviously real feeling to a movie that I love.

Or I'm just an Albert Brooks fan.

I wish I got all of this in one post. :(
I don't mean to hate on your favourites but your favourites are evil. Here's why:

Asparagus - Green, looks appetizing, really just a little green stick of hell.

Beer - Liquid Grass, ew.

Liver and Onions - I LOATHE Liver. I loathe it being cooked, the smell of it, the sight of it raw, the fact that it exists in this world. It smells like gross icky brown stuff to me and tastes like something even ickier. I love onions, just not WITH liver.

And if it makes you feel better, you hate many things of mine!

You hate Iced Tea.
You hate Mayo.
You hate Albert Brooks.
You hate people who don't understand what is wrong with EQ.

:( I'm sad.

You're willing to compare baseball prospects and computer whizzes to the average inner city youth? Because I'm not.

My point was that basketball is supremely geared towards blacks, and the community already has a problem promoting education amongst the younger generation. Couple that with the fact that the chances of making an NBA squad are seriously less than making a professional baseball team just due to open spots, and that sort of sums up the rest of my position. It's a problem that they promote a lifestyle of ignorance.

I hate ignorance and intolerance.

...and that's about it. Hate's too strong a word for the rest of it, and life is too short to hate so much. Tip a glass to your loved ones and friends and be thankful you are free to hate so much.

I love annoyance.

You're willing to compare baseball prospects and computer whizzes to the average inner city youth? Because I'm not.

I'm not trying to take it to a bad place...Just hear me out.

As of last month, basketball scouts have been taken out of high schools, and the minimum age has been raised up. The league is trying to encourage young athletes to get an education and/or provide more than one option for themselves.

Besides that, the NBA has become much more international in the past 10 years. This "thug image" you're talking about is so overblown, and practically doesn't even exist....Except in American commercials. Since when is that a good source of information?

If you think it's about "thug life", then you're not even paying attention. Just to throw this in as a small indicator, the highest selling jerseys as of right now are not that of T-Mac, A.I., or Kobe, but Manu Ginobili (an Argentinian). The most decorated and winning player right now is Tim Duncan (Virgin Islands). The MVP of the league is a Canadien (Steve Nash). The team that just won the championship (their 3rd) is the San Antonio Spurs (3 foreign starters, along with 2 Slovenians, an Aussie, and a Californian Surfer off the bench).

There have been only a handful of players in the past 5 years that came into the league out of high school. I don't remember the exact number, but it's no more than 10. To think that it's even a trend or defines the league is ridiculous. Also, can you explain the difference between that and a "baseball prospect"? That's interesting to me.

Anyways, I don't have any problem with your "stupid" comments or having a disliking for the sport itself, but to judge it based on a few isolated cases isn't fair at all. Nobody judges baseball's "culture" solely because of the steroid debacle or 20 man brawls, or hockey because of the lockout and slugfests, or football because of the antics of T.O., Onterrio, Jamal Lewis, or Randy Moss.

Albert Brooks is the shit.

Funnier than Woody Allen at least.

Holy shit are you wrong. So completely wrong. Albert Brooks has one halfway decent movie, "The Scout". Other than that, it's complete and utter annoying shit.

Holy shit, you're calling the Scout his "good" movie? That, to date, is the only movie I ever walked out of a theatre on. I wasn't offended or anything, just bored out of my fucking mind by it.  And I made it all the way through the Majestic.

I will say though, that he was fine in Nemo, even if I do find the movie a little over-rated. I can't such much for most of his other films, as I was so put off by the Scout that I've avoided them. I just find the guy insanely boring. Kind of like how I felt about Dudley Moore in the 80s.

Ummm, your figures are off by quite a large margin. There were 8 high schoolers drafted in the first round in 2004 alone. You may not have heard of many of the high schoolers, because they usually sit at the end of the bench and play 2 minutes of garbage time a week. That is my main complaint about them- 99% of them aren't ready to contribute, yet they count against the salary cap and take up a roster slot. I would much rather see kids with a bit of college polish come in and be ready to play a few minutes a game. I think the new combo of the age limit and the NBDL will make the game better in the long run. I wish they would have made the age limit higher though- 20 or 21 would be enough time for kids to mature (both physically and mentally), as well as develop some adult skills like money management, time management, etc (not to mention basketball skills).

I don't think it is fair to the fans who are paying ridiculously high prices to put 18 year old players on the floor who are completely unready for the NBA game. I also think it is in the best interest of the kids themselves to go to college for at least a year or two- there is a lot of maturity and development that takes place the first few years after high school.

I had a feeling my numbers would be off.

Anyways, I agree, it's a problem.....But not a characteristic problem of the NBA. And even then, most of these players were drafted early for a reason, and have turned out OK (T-Mac, Lebron, and KG to name a couple).

Geh, my list is just gonna be a comp of everyone else's.

I hate sports for the same reason schild does, and because sports fans are date raping frat boys. I hate sports video games, I hate watching sports, I hate hearing "the game" from my neighbors' houses. I do, however, love playing catch.
I hate post-Syd Barrett Pink Floyd (okay, DSOTM was good, but THAT'S IT.)
I hate paying too much for restaurant food when I could tell the chef specifically what was wrong with the way he prepared it.
I hate when they don't bring all of your sushi out at the same time, and by the time your expensive roll comes out you're already full.
I hate spelling and punctuation errors on signs.
I hate "expresso". I hate the American bastardization of espresso, as evidenced by the "latte" machines at 7-11. I hate that baristas are not skilled (or taken seriously professionally) in America.
I hate shit-eating grins when you're not that happy (Rachael Ray, that means you). You're not in a beauty pageant, so can it. I hate insincerity.
I hate that I'm too lazy to exercise so I hafta skip meals to avoid getting fat.

I hate people who use food stamps to buy huge bags of chips and candy.
I hate people who call just to yap on the phone, because they're bored.
I hate having cat hair in my mouth, especially when I make out with my boyfriend.

I hate slow drivers in the fast lane.
I hate when the server waits until your mouth is full to ask how everything is. I hate when they never come ask how everything is.
I hate having to wait to go pee.
I hate my neighbor who is learning to play guitar by butchering Shins songs on his front porch.
I hate that my dad only calls me when he needs something.
I, like SuperPopTart OcellotJenkins, hate the ghetto thing, but I think it's funny when educated, non-ghetto people use ebonics in jest.
I hate non-smoking bars.
I hate Birkenstocks, gortex, fleece, and the people who wear it. I hate river-rafting, microbrew-drinking, Dave Matthews Band-listening, Subaru station wagon-driving, chocolate lab-owning Pacific Northwest posers who are ruining Portland's style.

You may have missed my point on the restaurant bit. I don't give a shit who made it; I should never have to pay that much for food when I can taste that they used regular ol' sea salt instead of Fleur de Sel.  :-)

Rainbow rolls aren't crap, and have no mayo. Spider rolls with the tempura soft-shelled crab are also not mayo-ey crap. That's what I'm talking 'bout.

I just did baby-peddles when all three of mine got gassy.  Lay them face-up and head back resting on your knees.  Then slowly peddle their little legs like that are riding a bicycle.  Works great, helps them learn muscle control, and makes for funny parenting moments as the gas peeps out both ends.

Don't forget that we're also the SHARP capital of the world. Oi!

The junkies aren't really an issue (anymore), the methheads are all on the outskirts, and most of the "homeless" kids are wearing $500 worth of leather goods, tattoos and piercings and actually live in West Linn. Downtown is not the haps, and does nothing to accurately represent Stumptown. You gotta come out to SE and NE to catch a real glimpe of the hipsters that define our fine city.

And ftr, I do like plenty of hip hop (Mos Def, Del the Funky Homo Sapien, Digable Planets, etc.), I just don't care for modern rap (I love Run DMC, Sugar Hill Gang, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Ice T, Ice Cube, NWA, Sir Mix-A-Lot, Biz Markie, De La Soul, Digital Underground, etc.). Do you even know what Hip Hop is? For one, it's just as far stretching as the word "Rock" and has next to NOTHING to do with "bling bling". Hip Hop may be about style, but not necessarily "expensive" style.

Hell, I admit, I DO like Some rap/hip-hop....I guess it's just the bullshit it inspires in people which I hate.

Though I still contend a lot of the music is just worthless. To me, it seems there's a new "awesome" artist every other week. Everyone is "up and coming", especially as far as MTV shows (which I don't normally view).

What happened to actual careers? It seems most "artists" release a few songs, or maybe a full album, and then you never hear from them again.

Mtv was never 'urban' when I was young.. so I don't know what channel you were watching. Unless I missed something and The Police, Depeche Mode, Mr. Mister, and Toto were urban and I missed it...

Underground and hip, maybe.  But then I also remember my parents hating it as much as I hate it now.. so I'll postulate  maybe it's just 'hipness' that changed and we're just the old farts now.  Hmm.

Hey! My hard rocking is gone.  How could you do this to me?

It's still there, you have to type in  to make it come up.

I just didn't want to see obnoxious animated stuff on the post page because it turns some people off and makes others stabby.

[EDIT] Ok, on the post page you'll see a [more] after the emoticons. If you click that, a popup will appear that shows the obnoxious emoticons. Don't go overboard. Don't be an emotitard. Yes schild, I'm talking to you.

I demand a recount.

What you do in your private life, especially in the bedroom, is totally my business.

Another hate: People who pry into the lives of others far too much.

Where's the "thumbs up" emote thingy, Shockeye? I have something to agree with here.

Ask and it shall be given you.

Rainbow rolls aren't crap, and have no mayo. Spider rolls with the tempura soft-shelled crab are also not mayo-ey crap. That's what I'm talking 'bout.

Cool.  I thought you were talking about some of the crazy rolls that are so popular.  The sauces do taste good, but the same ones get used over and over.  We load up some of these rolls with all sorts of fish and then it all gets masked by the sauce anyway.

I always cringe when customers ask me to make them rolls that I like.  I mostly eat nigiri and sashimi and end up having to fib about what I like because they want some roll with a bunch of random fish and sauces.

I'm sorry.. do we have children on this board?

And if we do, shouldn't their parents be worried about something else besides my little post?

And Schild. Shut up. Just shut up. Don't screech. Don't emotitard. Shut up.

Yay!! Thanks everybody! I feel very special now. I had a lovely birthday. Sauced made me steak au poivre and took me out for dessert and lattes at Pix Patisserie, my favortie dessert joint. It's very French. I had the Royale:

The Royale ~ Chocolate mousse blankets a crisp hazelnut praline filling and dacquoise base surrounded by a mosaic of nougatine. Grab your paper Burger King tiara and indulge yourself!
Instead of that orangish-thingy it has gold dust on it, though.

They also have the Royale with Cheese (come with a sliver of brie).

And I drank 4 bottles of Lambic Peche. Whee! Bithdays for teh winz!

My step-dad's old pickup truck use to do that to our neighbor's vehicle every time he fired it up.

He would then set off each and every alarm as he drove down the street.

NOTE: It was an antique hotrod with bigass headers, and that was it for exhaust. No mufflers, no cats, no other piping. The exhaust exited right off the headers, right behind the front wheel wells. It was gorgeous.
