James Hardman said the man had worked for his company, James Hardman Construction, for about a year. Hardman said he turned off the chipper when he realized what had happened. Post by: Polysorbate80 on July 07, 2005, 04:30:52 PM Yup, them power tools...had my own personal moment of dumbassery a couple days ago when I got too lazy to put the guard back on my table saw for the last couple of cuts (I took it off to run a piece of slightly-too-thick stock through).
Now, I always keep well clear of the blade, but I forgot how hard that sumbitch can kick back a chunk of wood. Tore off half a fingernail and got me a bunch of stitches in two fingertips.
