Title: X-Box Software License Possible Post by: Evangolis on June 30, 2005, 07:11:43 AM Details? Bill Gates don't need no stinking details.
All the following links say basically the same thing. Hell, they all have the same title. M$ might license the software that runs the X-Box. Details to follow when Gates damn well feels like it. It's good to be King. Links: Yahoo (http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20050630/ap_on_hi_te/japan_microsoft_6) ABC (http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/wireStory?id=895602&CMP=OTC-RSSFeeds0312) MSNBC (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8417240/) CBS (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/06/30/tech/main705312.shtml) See the media. See the media jump through hoops. See me follow along like a good doggie. Title: Re: X-Box Software License Possible Post by: MrHat on June 30, 2005, 07:45:11 AM Huh?
Title: Re: X-Box Software License Possible Post by: HaemishM on June 30, 2005, 09:32:16 AM Whoopee.
So in the future, maybe, I can run a machine on Windows CE, Windows XP, or Windows XB? Title: Re: X-Box Software License Possible Post by: schild on June 30, 2005, 09:35:14 AM The next person that says "M$" instead of "MS" gets punched in the cock, is forced to get a /. tattoo on their forehead, and most show us unrefutable proof that they run a very obscure flavor of Linux.

Title: Re: X-Box Software License Possible Post by: Evangolis on June 30, 2005, 04:45:09 PM Whoopee. So in the future, maybe, I can run a machine on Windows CE, Windows XP, or Windows XB? Well, when he did something similar with Windows, you got a bunch of people building cheap ass hardware that ran his software, which buried the Mac, despite the fact that Mac was much the better product. Mind, the hardware price isn't the big deal with consoles that it was with PCs, but if Bill could get other people building hardware for him, at no cost to him, I'd guess that would be a good deal for Bill. What really struck me was that every source had pretty much the same story, word for word. Obviously grabbed off the same wire service copy, or whatever, at practically the same moment, by the time stamps on the stories. The need for more stories to fill the news cycle is making the media almost Pavlovian at times. And schild, my love life stinks so bad right now that a punch in the cock would pretty much qualify as a hot date. |
