Title: Wolverine spinoff
Post by: sidereal on June 13, 2005, 07:17:21 PM
Has this been pointed out yet (http://www.rte.ie/arts/2005/0610/jackmanh.html)?

I could watch a couple hours of Wolverine killing Cyclops.

Cyclops: Hi! Let me shake your hand and welcome you to the X-Men.
Wolverine: Fuck you! Is that your wife?
Cyclops: Uh, yeah.
Wolverine: I'm going to totally start hitting on her, like, even in front of you.
Cyclops: What?
Wolverine: Have a love triangle, bitch! I'm totally seducing her while I call you a dick!
Cyclops: Hey! Fuck you!
Everyone: See? He said 'Fuck you!' Cyclops is such a knob gobbler!

Cyclops was born to be hated, so they shoulda justified it better in the movie.

Jackman, who will star in the movie, will produce the film with business partner John Palermo through their new company Seed Productions.

I don't see the part about moneyhats

HO-LEE-SHIT!  I thought that was some obscenely  fat man with a wig and a goatee, in a dress.  Then I followed the link to find it was really Aretha Franklin.

How does someone get that fat?  Seriously?

He was faggy (http://www.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0035423/Ss/0035423/1219_13.jpg?path=gallery&path_key=0035423) before he got claws.

Jackman always had a thing for the faggy musicals. I saw something on one of those artsy channels once that had him playing Oklahoma or some shit. I sat fascinated for a minute or two, to see Wolverine belting out tunes, then I remembered my extreme distaste and homophobia with musicals, and turned the goddamned channel.

Or surfed pr0n, odds are good either way.

What about Seven Brides for Seven Brothers?  That's a fairly masculine musical.  Or West Side Story?  Or the musical episode of Buffy?  You can't watch any of those?

Musical episode of Buffy was fun. I bought the soundtrack.

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is ok, but for a "guy musical" I prefer 1776.

I liked him in Oklahoma.  But then, I am out of the closet as a raging heterosexual who enjoys musicals.

I wonder, if Uwe Boll made sb.exe: The Musical, could Haemish actually change into the Hulk after being forced to watch it...

I can't believe you're talking about Hugh Jackman being in faggy musicals without noting his starring role as Peter Allen, Australian broadway star and now dead fag, in the Boy from Oz (http://www.beyondtherainbow2oz.com/bfo16a.jpg)

Or West Side Story?

It's quite possible that if such a monstrosity were to take place, I'd have to invent a way to destroy the entire human race as retribution.

And no, there's something about musicals of any stripe that I just cannot stand. They drive me absolutely fucking batty. The only one I can sit through is The Wizard of Oz.

How that's any less faggy than Okalhoma or West Side Story, I'm not sure, but there it is.

What about Tommy? That shit is perfect. Technically a rock opera, yes, but it's still punk rawk and I love it.

Edit: Oh, yeah, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Fiddler on the Roof:  Not faggy.

sb.exe, The Musical:  Let's do it!

The trumpets roar, the drums resound
Battle calls, defend the town
Our clan stands bold across the plain
Our enemy charges like driving rain

But, wait!  What's this I see? What has happened to meee?
It's sb.exe!
(dot e x e)

You could use the AIDS song from Team America in Sb.exe the musical.

AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS AIIIIIIIIIIDS.

See, it's perfect.

Other good musicals include the Rocky Horror Picture Show, the Little Shop Of Horrors with Rick Moranis in it, and Dancer in the Dark. Dunno if they work in spite of being musicals or because of it though.

The funniest musical I have ever heard was somebody did a musical version of at least parts of silence of the lambs.

The whole put the poodle in the basket song just slays me.

I would pay good money to see a full-length version of "The King and I" from that Family Guy episode where Peter is the director...

"Tho they tried to defeat me, they can all just freakin' eat me!"

So, really, we all hate musicals so much that the only ones we like are parodies that take themselves seriously.

Color me astounded.

I do have a soft spot for "Guys and Dolls", probably because it's based on the writings of a distant relative, but still...

Either Sinatra/Brando or Lane/Gallagher.

Of course Simpsons one-upped it with "Luke be a Jedi Tonight".

It gladdens my heart that I was able to derail this thread to greater, gayer heights. I'm a champion.

HEy guess what everyone? I'm home from work - forever! Not really forever, but I just finished my job and am off until I find a nice job that suits my quirky personality. Or until the Mary Tyler Moore fantasy wears off (it's gonna be me in a dress, apron and heels with a Manhattan in hand and dinner on the table when Sauced gets home every night while I'm not working - squee!). I'm very happy to be done. Yay for me.

How about sb.exe 2:  Paradigm Shift Boogaloo, with SirBruce and Brad McQuaid in a break-dancing face-off against each other while Beethoven's fifth symphony plays in the background as you're forced to watch.
