LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Kill the Runaway Bride story. She pleaded no contest, instead of guilty.

A kill is mandatory.

Make certain the story is not used.

Buh?

THese days, in the rush to be 'teh first with teh storiez!!' anything that's a known event gets a story written beforehand.  Sounds like the AP had distributed a story where she plead guilty and sent it out for publication.  When she plead no-contest it threw a wrench in the works and the story had to be 'killed.' (whoopsie!)

Kind of like how they have obits written for all the 'big' folks who may die soon.  You bet your ass there's at least 4 prewritten stories about all the political heads over in Iraq/ Afghanistan, and the Pope's obit had been written since sometime around 99 and was just updated every so often.

Still, the phrasing is pretty amusing, leading to an unintentional read of,  "Kill the runaway bride!"
