Title: I love this site
Post by: Ubiq on March 18, 2004, 10:48:40 AM
I've been losing a little bit of time to this wiki page of TV Tropes and Idioms (http://spacecrib.sytes.net/friki/view?FrontPage) on a daily basis.  It's a useful reminder that everything's a frickin' cliche.   Those who fear the wikiweb need not apply.

Warning: may have an overabundance of Buffy: The Vampire Slayer references.

That is a very cool site and remarkably applicable to almost every show on TV these days. Kinda sad, that...

Directing me to that website nicely replaced the time I had allotted for vacuuming the house.  I'd thank you, Ubiq, but shouldn't you really be developing something?

Developping talents for bone-idleness. Like anyone else on the Net who should be working on some off-line project ?

Cheddar, stop bumping ridiculously old threads because you're bored.

Edit: ...and/or drunk.

I was bored (not drunk), and was curious as to the oldest thread I could find.  This is what I found.  Sorry for the necro, I just wanted to share!

Well the next time you're bored topic=23 (http://forums.f13.net/index.php?topic=23) is the lowest number I can see, about twelve hours ahead of this one.  First public word posted is Douchebags, awesome.

For shits and giggles, the oldest thread I can see if topic number 3.

The post consists of this:

Does this mean I can't have somewhere to host those images for my SWG article? :)

(BTW, my next posts will be from the other side of the fucking country.  Man, I hope that California falls into the ocean between now and next Tuesday when my move is finalised.)
Looks like he/she never made it  :ye_gods:

Site is here (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HomePage).

Search for "Goodkind". It's fucking hilarious, and they link to possibly the funnest fucking thread on Goodkind anywhere (basically a thread on George R. R. Martin's website devoted to mocking Goodkind).

Site is here (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HomePage).

That link did cost me 3 hours of my life  :ye_gods:

But at least I found information new to me.

Uwe Boll is a director, primarily focusing on film adaptations of video games.[...] And somehow he keeps finding the way to make more of them. This is because his financial backers are taking advantage of a loophole in the tax code of his native Germany. It actually benefits them if the movies lose money

Recently, the German tax loopholes have been closed up

I was ready to start calling him Uwe Loopboll.
