The only difference betwen Lager and Ale is the yeast used. Lager ale is a bottom-fermenting yeast that must be grown at lower temperatures. My favorites are not typical mainstream beers like Rolling Rock, Anchor Bay, or foreign stuff like Newcastle Brown Ale. But I consider them all beers, not really giving a crap if its a lager, an ale, or a beer.
