Title: Playable on US servers using asian billing address?
Post by: Gorky on May 23, 2005, 06:03:42 AM
Simple question: I live in India, can I subscribe and play on US servers? the WoW official FAQ says a US billing address is required to  subscribe?

I play on the U.S. servers from Korea.  I had the U.S. version shipped to me from the states, and there was no trouble hooking it up.

I did use an American billing address - but I've spoken to a number of australians and other foreigners (while playing WoW) whom I'm pretty sure have no American address to use, so I think they don't enforce it too strictly.  I suspect  it has something to do with their fondness for wheelbarrows full of money.  I don't think you'll have a problem, or if you do, there will be a fairly easy way to resolve it.

Does anyone know what's going to happen with the Chinese release? The character transfers off of Whisperwind have really improved server stability and lag and it'd be awful if 10,000 new people decided to create characters there.

Supposing I have the US version shipped to me along with some game time cards, will I still require to enter a billing address?

And if I dont get lynched for asking this, will I be able to play EQ2 atleast from the boonies? yeah, I'm in MMPOG withdrawal!
