Title: I still say it's the drugs. Post by: Shockeye on May 06, 2005, 11:19:05 AM Quote from: Gigwise.com Ozzy Osbourne Diagnosed With Parkin Syndrome (http://www.gigwise.com/news.asp?contentid=5797) by Scott Colothan on 5/6/2005 Wild man of rock Ozzy Osbourne has been diagnosed with Parkin Syndrome causing lifelong involuntary shuddering. The Black Sabbath star had been given the all-clear for Parkinson’s Disease in 2003, which is unrelated to the syndrome, after he complained his shaking was ruining his life. The singer then put his tremors down to decades of alcohol and drug abuse. Now doctors have told him he has a condition inherited from his relatives, reports contactmusic.com. The diagnosis means the 56-year-old will have to take medication for the rest of his life to quell the syndrome. Ozzy said: "I'd always assumed it was the booze and stuff. Now I've found it all stems from the family. It's called Parkin but it's not Parkinson's. Anything to do with the central nervous system has the word Parkin in it. "A doctor in Los Angeles tried to tell me I had multiple sclerosis. And I believed him until I had a second opinion. "When I told my sisters she said; ‘Not you as well? Mum had that and Auntie Elsie and your grandma.' "I'm like, 'Thanks for fucking telling me'. Me walking around thinking I've got some drug paralysis." Title: Re: I still say it's the drugs. Post by: MaceVanHoffen on May 06, 2005, 12:34:15 PM I think all this proves is that Parkin's Syndrome is caused by heavy drug use. Title: Re: I still say it's the drugs. But yeah even if there's predisposition a lifelong assult on the body has got to eventually break something.

My theory is that Keith Richards has actually been played by multiple people, each keeping the Richards' persona alive. The original died during the 60's during a tragic accident involving a fifth of vodka and Mick Jagger's lips. A century from now, one of Richards' simalucra will still be around, convincing the public that he's still alive. Title: Re: I still say it's the drugs. Post by: Trippy on May 06, 2005, 08:58:24 PM Explain Keith Richards then. He's drunk so much alcohol that instead of killing him, it perfectly preserved all his organs. He's going to outlive us all. |
