Deshler man arrested after driving into a ditch

DESHLER, Ohio (AP) - Police arrested a man for drunken driving early Sunday morning after he drove into a ditch on State Route 18 -- on a riding lawn mower.

Police say 25-year-old Adam Reinbolt was driving the mower from a friends house to Deshler, about 35 miles southwest of Toledo, to mow lawns. He was arrested around two a.m. Sunday.

Police say Reinbolt told them he had too much beer to drink and failed field sobriety tests.

Shit, I thought you were allowed to drive lawn mowers while drunk.

There go my summer plans.   :-(

He was on a public road. I don't think they can do much about you drinking and driving on private property. Unless you back over a poodle or something.

What if it's my poodle?

Then you should be arrested for owning a faggy dog.

Even if I bought it for the sole purpose of backing over it in a riding mower?  (edit) While drinking heavily?

I mowed over a turtle once. That was messy.

If it is disposable, I would rather see you feed it to Snow Beast. Like feeding live goldfish to carnivourous fish. Good times!

Tehcnically, he was on the SIDE of a public road. I dare them to prove he drove it there.

I think this one trumps the lawn mower.

DUI Charge Is 16th For Central Fla. Driver (http://www.local6.com/news/4415569/detail.html)

SANFORD, Fla. -- The Seminole County Sheriff's Office said a Volusia County man is in custody on his 16th drunken-driving arrest.

Mitchell Raulerson, 55, of Seville was stopped in Sanford by an officer who was suspicious about his hand-drawn license plate.

Raulerson also is charged with driving on a permanently revoked drivers license and driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

A Seminole sheriff's sergeant said Raulerson's speech was slurred, his eyes were bloodshot, and he had empty beer cans in his van.

Eleven of his arrests came in Texas. Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.

I think suspicious is an understatement.

This got quite a chuckle out of me.

I shall resist the urge to go in to a major rant on why fuckwads like this should be doing long jail terms. Oh noes! you've permenantly suspended my license! So, when I do something dumb and get pulled over two years from now (having been driving all that time) I'll get a fine and be told not to do it again! Oh noes!

At least thats how it seems to typically go up here. Fuck that bugs me. You get forbidden from driving and you get caught doing it, drunk especially - you should be in fucking pund you in the ass prison.

Fuck.

This is the guy who fucks it up for the rest of us. If I have an extra beer before getting behind the wheel, I am suddenly associated with this fucking douchebag and relegated into the realm of the child rapist or assaulter of the elderly and infirm.

I think it is safe to say that once you get into double digit DUI arrests, you might have a problem. How is he on the street still? If he sold a dime bag of oregano to someone, the fucking DEA SWAT team would have been cornholing him with their Tasers long ago.

That's funnier than it has any right to be. I think it's the understating of the word "messy."

I know where Deshler is...my HS plays them (they are part of a consolidated school) in basketball.  God bless NW Ohio, where the average farming town is a dozen houses, a church, a school, and three bars.
