War Games II Gears Up (http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire2005/index.php?category=0&id=30948)

Moviehole.net reported that MGM has announced a July start date for the sequel to 1983's hit War Games. War Games II: The Deadly Key is scheduled to shoot in Europe for a direct-to-DVD release sometime next year, the site reported.

War Games II centers on teenage computer whiz Cory Carpenter, who finds himself mistaken for a cyber-criminal while on a class trip to Europe. On the run with his beautiful classmate Anne and nerdy best pal Dale Darrow, Carpenter discovers that his supposed cyber-pal is really a government computer that's gone haywire and is setting in motion a plan for nuclear disaster.

None of the original film's stars, who included Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy, are expected to return.

No shit? Although Ally Sheedy could probably use the work.

How COULD House of the Dead 2 be any worse than 1? It is inconceivable.

Spike TV's Blade TV Movie Announcement (http://www.superherohype.com/news/bladenews.php?id=2959)

May 5, 2005

Spike TV will adapt the successful theatrical franchise Blade, based on the cult favorite Marvel Superhero, as a two-hour, action-adventure, television movie in early 2006. The announcement was made by Spike TV President Doug Herzog. Blade is Herzog's first original scripted programming announcement since he took over the network earlier this year.

"The action-adventure genre is largely ignored in today's television landscape, and we know it is something that our male viewers really want," said Herzog. "Blade is a great movie franchise with an established brand that men already recognize and identify with."

Blade is the unforgettable legend of an immortal warrior who battles a thriving underworld of vampires seeking to decimate the human race. Half man and half vampire, Blade uses his fierce powers and skills to fearlessly battle the demonic creatures of the night and carry on a blood-drenched crusade to prevent the ascendance of vampires over mankind. The blockbuster film starred actor Wesley Snipes and spawned two sequels. Combined, the films have earned more than $400 million worldwide.

Blade will be produced by New Line Television and Marvel Studios. David Goyer is executive producer. He penned the three screenplays for the Blade trilogy, and produced and directed the last installment of the franchise, Blade: Trinity.

I'm sure it'll be just as good as the Crow and Highlander TV shows!

Shitty as it will be, I am still 100000000000x more likely to voluntarily watch it than any reality show. A burning, crotchrotting pox on Mark Burnett and his ilk.

My wife's hairdresser is currently off filming the biggest loser. I might actually watch those. (She's comes to our house and my wife invites her friends and family over and they make it a social 3 hour hair dealything. I hide upstairs playing a MMOG until the last person leaves and my wife is getting her hair cut then talk with both of them).

I think it would be funny if she won and my wife had to find a new hairdresser.

OMG are you serious? I would flee for a good Vegas weekend bender if that was at my place.
