It is in fact a part of germany, but due to the language the people speak and some political nonsense that is going on down there, lots of germans are hesistant to include them in our federal republic. Like when we are saying a Bavarian is when you breed some common sense and humor into a German and make him behave almost like an Austrian. ;) They like their Christian party a wee bit too much, though.
