Title: I need credit related websites.
Post by: angry.bob on March 25, 2005, 08:37:56 AM
I need as many credit (as in credit cards, financial credit) related websites as you guys can give me. The more obscure and knowledge packed the better. Especially if they have nifty industry tools, charts, insider hints, explaining how credit and finances work to children and retards, message boards, whatever. I know at least one of you has to know some really great credit-related web resources that are off the beaten track.

I appreciate everyone's help in advance.

Not that I know of many, but details help.  Are you looking to aquire credit, find your credit rating, know some laws relating to the reporting of your rating, fix your rating, etc?  From the sound of it you just don't know anything at ALL about credit and want to know how it works.

Equifax (http://www.equifax.com) has a lot of information available on their website under "learning"  They're the largest credit reporting agency out there right now and the one most places check.  THere's 2 others as well, whose names I forget.

As far as I know, Discover is the only company that will actually issue a credit card to a retard.

If you are a subscriber to the website, Consumer Reports has some good stuff on it.

Subscribing to sites like that is silly if you don't wanna do it.

http://bugmenot.com/ (Usable only in IE AFAIK)

Consumer Reports is a paid subscription, not just an email registration. Well worth it too, if you plan to make any major purchases.

I don't need to know anything about credit. I'm looking for quality websites with interesting or unique information about credit -  any aspect of it - to add to a list of online resources.
