It's a wicked cheap storytelling trope of cheesy 'who can you trust' 'is this really the person or a fake?' nonsense.

Before this I can't recall Cobie Smulders ever being allowed to look like a normal adult human instead of a barbie doll. "You're in no shape for this fight that lies before us" is probably the worst written line of dialogue I've ever heard Olivia Coleman read. Ben Mendelssohn looked pretty cool. In fact everyone looked competent in the trailer at least. Which was nice.
