With that much star talent it would be pretty hard to fuck up, and most of the cast seem to enjoy playing whatever quirky bit role they have.

Old actors playing young people 2. People telling awful, unfunny jokes then other people laughing like it's funny It feels very lazy to me. I like absurd and awkward humor but this just didn't work for me at all. The last thing David Wain did was "They Came Together" and it had a very similar vibe. Also very one-note and the humor was the same sort of "this isn't funny - isn't that funny?" thing. K9 nailed it, it's not hilarious but it's entertaining enough and it feels like this was made because the cast had fun hanging out on set. I'd never heard of the original or David Wain; upon googling the only thing of his I've seen is Role Models which was pretty good.
