This man was truly epic. I can't be completely sad about this though, he lived a crazy long and productive life. Dying at 93 after everything he did...? Hell of a run by a crazy talented human being.

Sad news but the guy had an awesome life and was 93 so you can't be TOO sad.

I was told that he is the guy that Fleming based Bond on.

Yeah I've heard that before, too.

Also, this quote:
Quote
From Peter Jackson’s DVD commentary: “When I was shooting the stabbing shot with Christopher, as a director would, I was explaining to him what he should do… And he says, ‘Peter, have you ever heard the sound a man makes when he’s stabbed in the back?’ And I said, 'Um, no.’ And he says 'Well, I have, and I know what to do.’”

He was actually Tolkiens choice of actor to portray Gandalf. His autobiography is a very good read.

Anyway, not to worry. He will rise again in the sequel. And be the best thing in it.

Guy was pure awesome. What a great villain. What a great voice. I have never even seen his Draculas, but the joyous look on his face when  makes me want to soil my pants.

The Wicker Man spoiler- pretty important plot point if you haven't seen it. And you should.

And make sure it's the original and not the one with Nicolas Cage.  :awesome_for_real:

Making me watch that movie won't bring your actor back.
