What? The complete lack of nudity? In a show starring Eva Green, who contractually demands exposing her tits at least once every 30 minute?

It's pretty fucking dreadful.  If it wasn't for Josh, we wouldn't be watching it all.

I didn't see the second one, just the first.  I watched the newest last night and no way did I expect to see the hunky guy snogging the girly guy.  It just never occurred to me.  I'm going to watch the one I missed tonight because I kind of really like it.  It's well made and the dialog is well done.  Some of it feels odd, such as Frankenstein being in London, but then again, everyone ends up in London at one time or another.  The only film I remember seeing Eva Green in is The Golden Compass .  It was pretty mediocre.  I don't remember boobies.

Watch "The Dreamers" if you want to see Eva Green.

I watched the first episode of this, it felt like a hodgepodge of tropes thrown in a blender. If I hear it's good I may start watching it, right now I'm in wait and see mode.

Oh, I did see a bit of that.  I didn't remember it was her.  I didn't like it much, either, though it got okay reviews.  I watched it because I like the guy from
Seven Psychopaths and stopped watching because it was one of THOSE romance films.  I'm not big on romance.  That guy was in one of the Hannibal stories recently, too.  He gave his sister a vasectomy or something or other.

She's pretty naked in the new 300 sequel as well, though nowhere near the level of The Dreamers.

And she wasn't naked, but she looked fantastic in Casino Royale.

It is Universal-monster-mashup but I like it anyway.

I wasn't sure at first, but the final scene of episode two was shocking enough to keep me interested.

Not to sure about  though

Working as intended.

Bit behind with this, but the episode that was all about Vanessa Ives & Sir Malcolm Murray and their back story was excellent. Worked much better when it was more focussed and concentrated on just one story.

Plus, Billie Piper and her ridiculous accent weren't in it...  :awesome_for_real:

Not you as well ?

Wife can't stand the accent.  I don't think she's doing that badly.  She sounds just like Hazel, an Irish girl I went to Uni with.

But this is a fight we have every single time she's on screen.

Who gives a crap about what Billie Piper SOUNDS like?

I have no idea what to expect and the next episode is already the finale.  The whole Josh thing has me flummoxed.

I have no idea what to expect

Missing a werewolf and serial killer.

I still like it.  They some how took, "let's use ALL the monsters!", and made something good.

They telegraph the werewolf, so you'd have to be mostly doing something else while the show is on to be surprised there.
Brona's arc was unsurprising as well, although there was a bit of misdirection with that.
I like what they're doing with Vanessa (Eva Green).
I'm pretty sure I'm going to be annoyed by whatever they do with Dorian Grey.
I'm wondering if we'll meet Dr Jekyll.

They telegraph the werewolf,

OH RIGHT... that was before I figured out what the series was doing, and I somehow totally forgot about that scene.  When I tell my wife, she'll plotz.

I like this show because for once I can see what's coming.  Finally, a puzzle even I am good at.

Maybe next season.  We need an invisible guy, too, but I hope they don't include aliens.  AND WE NEED THE TIME MACHINE!  I still like it, too, and I enjoyed the way they ended the season.

I've been trying to think what else can be packed in there, and your ideas are better.  The time machine would be too much, though.

Probably they have enough for next season.  Werewolf versus Frank's monster seems likely (Brona/Dr Fankenstein's arc).  Dorian/Victoria seem linked, as well as Victoria/Dracula (aka Amun Ra).  Not exactly sure how Amun Ra and Lucifer are linked, I guess maybe they are the same force trying two different routes.

I'm kind of wondering who Madame Kali is working with/for, she clearly had malicious intent for Sir Malcolm.  Given the name, perhaps India will be making an entrance.

Also wondering what part Ferdinand Lyle (Egyptologist) has to play.  His behavior was odd.

This is pretty light viewing that takes itself way seriously.

I enjoyed it though it should be titled Eva's Eyes.

It was implied there is an entire pantheon of weird forces one can conjure. Pretty sure Caliban was interacting with end boss vampire as well. On one of his tirades to Frankenstein he mentions the world being the playground of the "immortal races". That combined with Dracula(?) living in the theater he lives and works in seems a strong connection. I thought the main evil was going to end up being the nice actor who befriends Caliban.

Near the end of the last episode, I realized that the one American guy is a werewolf in London.  My wife groaned at that one.  Is this show classy or cheesy?  I'm confused.  Fucking British accents and acting.
